Lorna forgot how to breathe for a second. She should have walked away–ignore whatever strange feelings she was having. But, she stayed, glued to the ground.

Her lips parted, the words were about to be spilled when the sound of the door opening jolted them back into reality. Lorna quickly moved away from Arrow's grasp before Lauren walked in.

Lauren stared at the both of them wondering why the atmosphere was tensed all of a sudden. She had only left for few minutes and they were both in an awkward position.

“Did you…find your phone?” Arrow asked, trying to make the situation less awkward. Distracted, Lauren nodded, waving it.

“Turns out that I left it inside my closet, i always be missing things at just any random spot. Last time I misplaced my laptop, I had to replace it again.” She complained with a tired sigh.

Lorna smiled to herself remembering how they searched through the whole house only to find out that the had left it at the airport few days after arriving at the mansion.

“You should stop being careless. Who knows, you might even forget your kids at school when you've become a mother.” Arrow rolled his eyes mockingly at her. Lauren gasped placing her hand on her chest.

“Not true, I'm just a girl you know.”

“Yeah, right. Take the luggage with you, I've got an important meeting in fifteen minutes, have to start prepping,” Arrow said walking towards his work table at the other side of the room.

He needed a way to be alone with Lorna, but with Lauren standing on the way, his plan wasn't going as planned. Lauren motioned for Lorna to grab the luggage so they could leave, casting a doubtful look his way.

Arrow stared at Lorna, storming for an excuse, any excuse to make her stay.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Lorna turned to open it, revealing another maid standing nervously, without a move.

“Sir Arrow,” she said, bowing slightly, “Lady Stella requests Miss Lauren's presence in the ranch. She said it was important.”

Lauren frowned. “Now?”

“Yes Miss.”

Arrow didn't even try to hide the relief he felt in his voice. “You’d better go, Lauren. Mom doesn't like to be kept waiting.”

Lauren hesitated, wondering why her was calling for her this early.

“She can help carry the luggage to your quarters to save time.” Arrow added smoothly, pointing towards the maid who stood still at the door.

“Fine, I'll be back soon.” Lauren hesitantly left with the maid dragging the luggage along.

Arrow waited until the door closed firmly behind her before turning to Lorna who was already on the track to leave.

“Do not move an inch, Lorna. I did all that just to be alone with you.” He said, watching her shift uncomfortablely from one foot to the other.

“Miss Lauren's going to suspect us both, and you'll get us into trouble, at this point. “ Lorna frowned, looking away from his direction.

It was just so impossible to not stare at the fine specimen in front of her.

“Then give me your answer–so no one would suspect a thing.”

“My answer is no, sir.” she blurted out, without thinking twice.

Arrow scoffed, folding his arms with a low chuckle.

“ You cannot say no to me, Lorna. Nobody tells me no.” He replied.

His voice sounded like a growl, sending a cold shivers racing down her spine.

How dare he try to intimidate her?

“You rich people think you can bully someone into doing whatever you want.” she snapped, fuming with anger. Like mother, like son, huh?

“I want you, and I'll have you. If it has to do with me being rich, then so be it, mama.” Arrow replied, lifting his chin with pride.

“I..I have every right to choose whoever I want to be with–and you're not the one!”

“Well you don't have a choice in this one, princess. It's either we do this the easy way…or the hard way.”

He walked towards her as she stumbled backwards until her back hit the wall. He inches away now, towering over her. His presence swallowing the space between them.

“And trust me–you don't want to do this the hard way.” His smirk widened as her body trembled. He was satisfied to see he had an effect on her.

Lorna stared at him, stunned. She couldn't believe she thought he was different.

Turns out, he's just another arrogant selfish country jerk.

“If it's money you want, I'll give it to you, mama. Anything at all.” Arrow offered.

Lorna let out a sarcastic laugh, did he really just say that? Money?

“I'm not just some cheap slut you can buy with money, Arrow. Know this–and know peace.” She whisper-yelled, seething fire in her eyes.

Arrow only smiled at the sound of his name coming from her.

“At least we're making progress with the name issue.” he pointed out.

Her lips parted to fire back another word only to be silenced by Arrow smashing his lips against hers, hungry and impatient.

Lorna, after a failed attempt to push him away, weakened. Heat surged through her and she melted into his arms. Their lips moved in sync, the kiss deepened with fiery, burning passion.

A soft moan escaped her lips filling the room as he trailed kisses against her neck, his hands moved with growing confidence, caressing her waist, slipping underneath the fabric to find her breast.

“A….Arrow.” Lorna murmured barely managing to speak as she patted his arm lightly.

He hummed in response, unwilling to take his lips off her skin.

“T-The door.” she breathed, pointing at it's direction. He let go of her, wondering why she had said that.

“What?” Arrow asked, confused by her gesture.

“It's not locked.” she mumbled shyly, flustered.

Arrow paused, then smirked. Now understanding what she had meant.

With a low chuckle, he stepped away from her, stepped over to the door. Locking the door, he pulled the key free and flunged it carelessly across the room.

*Now, where were we?”

  • The White Lady's Slave    Unfinished Words

“Lorna…” Lady Stella repeated, uttering the name slowly, as if measuring its weight. “Get her for me.” The words fell softly, yet with a gravity the maid didn't miss. She lowered her head in a slight bow, a smile tugged at her lips, before leaving the study. Lady Stella remained still, her gaze grew aloof, her thoughts whirling. Why had Arrow taken such a strange interest in a maid? She recalled sending Lorna to serve him on the night of his arrival, dismissing the details as irrelevant at the time. But now– Was it because she was that maid? A knock on the door snapped Lady Stella from her thoughts. She drew in a deep breath before uttering a low, “come in.” The door squealed open, and Lorna stepped inside, her movements careful. She shut it quietly behind her, the soft click echoing louder than it should have in the room. Then with cautious steps, she approached the desk–Lady Stella’s gaze fixed on her, unwavering, assessing. “You sent for me, my Lady,” Lorna spoke f

  • The White Lady's Slave    A Son's Prolonged Stay

The faint scent of orchids lingered in the air, curling around the quiet of the study. It was a spacious room, lined on both sides with towering bookshelves and neat filing cabinets. A large oakwood desk stood at its heart– Satin-smooth, the kind only given to furniture that commanded respect. Behind it, Lady Stella's lips curved into a knowing smile as she set down the receiver, ending a two-hour phone call with someone she knew all too well. Her mind drifted to Arrow–he’d been staying in the mansion longer than usual. Whatever the reason, it felt like the perfect chance to advance her plans. Still, she was bothered by the mystery behind his prolonged visit. He was a busy businessman–of course, he had holidays and breaks but never at this particular time of the year. “Mother.” Almost as if pulled straight from her thoughts, Arrow stood at her desk. His worried gaze scanned her face, in search of something she couldn't name. “Arrow.” Her eyes gleamed. “ What brings

Lorna?!” Lauren's mouth dropped open, stunned to see a nervous Lorna standing there. She glanced back and forth between her brother and the maid, trying to connect the dots. “Please don't tell Mom, I'd do anything–just don't tell mom about us.” Arrow moved in front of Lorna, protectively. Lorna's gaze lingered on his broad figure in front of her, blocking her from view. Her pulse still racing from the moment she'd slipped out of the closet. Lauren blinked, speechless. When did her brother start acting like this? Desperate? Protective? “Us?” she murmured back, her brows rising. “You just got here–how are you professing love to a maid in such a short period of time?!” She barely gave him a chance to respond before shifting her attention abruptly to Lorna. “And you, Lorna…seriously?! I didn't expect this from you. Feelings? for him? All of a sudden?” Lorna lowered her head, avoiding Lauren's gaze in shame. Arrow's frown deepened, noticing her demeanor. “Hey, don't sco

Arrow let out a low, frustrated groan as the knocking continued. Meanwhile, Lorna rushed to pull her nightdress back on, panic and fear written all over her face. “What do we do?!” Lorna whisper-yelled, panting in panic, gripping her nightdress as the knocking persisted. Arrow stayed eerily calm, his gaze fixed on the door–thier only exit. But she couldn't go out through the door, not like this, not at the moment. “Arrow?” The voice came from behind the door, startling both him and Lorna who was on the verge of a breakdown. Lauren? It was Lauren at the door. By this hour? Arrow blinked, confused. Everyone was supposed to be asleep by now. This is what you get for sneaking around. “The closet. Go hide in there until she's gone.” He whispered, his voice lower than ever. “What if she comes in there?!” Lorna hissed, mentally preparing herself for the disaster about to unfold. What would happen if she was caught? Arrow let out a breath, running his fingers thr

He had called for her–again. Lorna walked quietly through the corridors, her breathing unsteady, excitement bubbling beneath her chest. Each step pulled her towards the one place she would've gladly avoided–and yet here she was, heading straight for him. Arrow's quarters. Lady Stella had come by for a brief meeting the other day, acknowledging chef Katherina–as usual–and pointing out a few tiny mistakes she had noticed at the dining table. Of course, she was never satisfied even when things were near perfect. There was always something–one flaw or the other–to correct. Lorna, however, was quietly thankful. Lady Stella hadn't noticed her son's steady attention during the meal. That would’ve been a different story entirely–one that wouldn't have ended after dinner. Why had she answered him? The mansion was quiet, lamps dimmed, doors shut– it was late enough that everyone was already in bed, the perfect hour for sneaking around the mansion, unnoticed. Safe to s

  • The White Lady's Slave    Under His Gaze

Lorna's Pov; We were on standby, waiting to be called into the dining hall to serve dinner, and I can't lie—I'm so nervous that my hands have been trembling for the past ten minutes. I've been taking deep breaths over and over again, trying to calm myself. From where I stood, I could hear Lady Stella's laughter blending with Sir Arrow's.It was strangely pleasing to the ears, echoing lightly through the house. A wave of anxiety washed through me. My thoughts were scattered. What if I embarrassed myself in front of him? What if I ruined everything? “Lorna, you'll be in charge of serving the drinks. Don't worry about the dishes–I'll handle that,” came the soothing voice of Head Chef Katherina, her tone warm and reassuring. I gave her a small smile, even though it does not change the fact that I was already panicking within me. “Start serving dinner, Katherina.” Lady Stella’s voice rang out from the dining room. Finally, Chef Katherina took the lead and I followed beh
