I was more guarded about Jr. as we made our way back to where everyone was. After what they attempted to do while I was away, neither my wolf nor I wanted Fabian's parents to be close to him. Every step we took toward Fabian's parents made my wolf more prepared to charge at the first sign of danger. Fabian had his hand tightly wrapped around my waist in a very protective grasp, making it impossible for me to escape. I could see from the way Fabian was acting that he was upset about what he had just learned, but I wasn't sure if he was upset with me for keeping Jr a secret or with his parents for what they had tried to do.
