The moment their lips touched, Ivan froze.

He didn't kiss her back, he didn't also push her away, he just stayed there. Shocked.

His eyes flickered to Mike who watched with his mouth open.

Gently, he eased her off him, steadying her by her arm.

Mike approached.

“Everything okay?"

“Mrs Ravelle, you need to go home. Now,” he said, voice low.

She chuckled.

" Did you know? I've been dreaming of kissing you since the day I walked into your office."

Mike grinned, bringing out his phone to record.

"You're so handsome, it feels so unreal,” she said, staggering in his grip.

" Thank you, Mrs Ravelle. But you need to go home.”

She shrugged off his hands, her expression shifting to a serious one.

"You don't have the right to look so…hot,” she said, then bursted out laughing,” she said, staggering.

Mike laughed, zooming in on the camera.

“This is so going to be fun to rewatch."

"I'm going to carry you now, Mrs Ravelle. Only because you can't walk.”

She laughed and sat on the floor, looking up at Ivan. Mike's camera followed her too.

"Did you also know? I'm still a virgin,” she announced, laughing out very hard.

Mike gasped, looking at Ivan who showed no reaction.

“On your feet, Mrs Ravelle. Let's go."

“No, I want some more drinks."

“You've had enough."

She beldged. " Oh my God. I feel so horny.”

" Wow,” Mike exclaimed. "She really cannot handle her liquor.”

Before Valeria could say any more, Ivan carried her in his arms and walked to the car, the world seemed to be spinning around her.

“Wow, I'm flying. Can you believe I'm flying?" She screamed, spreading her hands in the air, her eyes shut

Mike followed with the camera, making sure to capture from a clear angle.

“Stop it, Mike. It's not funny," Ivan shot him a deadly look, buckling Valeria's seatbelt.

“Of course it's not," Mike laughed. “This is cute."

“Cute?"

Mike nodded.

“I wish a woman would crush on me like this."

Ivan glanced briefly at Valeria who was already dozing off in the front seat, then back at Mike.

“She's not crushing, she's simply drunk. Besides, she's married."

“Drunk? Yeah. But I can swear she's definitely spilling her true feelings."

“I can't do this with you, Mike. Come by the house tomorrow so we can steal the deal."

The drive back home was quiet, only the noise of Valeria whispering and laughing could be heard.

Back home, Ivan carried Valeria to her room, laying her on the bed.

Before he could rise from the bed, Valeria grabbed his wrist.

“I can't sleep without a good night hug,” she chuckled.

"I'm sorry, Mrs Ravelle. But I can't give you that.”

" Oops, you're no fun.”

"Good night, Mrs Ravelle.”

***

The next morning, Valeria woke up with a throbbing headache, her body felt heavy.

Her stomach began to churn, a throw up building up.

Slowly, she dragged herself to the bathroom and threw up, after which she washed up and walked back to the bedroom.

Standing in front of the mirror, fragments of the party started to float in her head, but all she could remember was that she was in a different dress from what she wore yesterday. She couldn't remember taking them off.

She brushed it off anyway, and headed downstairs.

It was time for Ivan to take his medication.

Quickly, she whipped up something and took it to his room, but as she got close to his door, she heard chattering. The unmistakable voice of Doctor Kendrick, and another voice that didn't belong to Ivan.

Steadying herself, she knocked once.

There was a brief hesitation, then he answered her.

“Come in."

She walked in with his food, only to see an empty plate on the table. He had already eaten.

Across from him were doctor Kendrick, and Mike.

She looked up at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already 10am.

" I'm so sorry, sir,” she bowed. “I slept off."

Ivan nodded. “It's okay, I made something already."

Valeria couldn't look up at any of the men, but she could feel their gazes on her, especially the wide grin on Mike's face.

A few hours later, four of them rendezvoused in Ivan's study, where they were to have a business meeting.  A flash had been connected to the TV, and Valeria had the remote.

“So," Ivan began. “The blue prints for the construction are in the drive, and the client is yet to confirm before we could go ahead.

“The client is out of the country, so I'm asked to check the plan out and get back to him." Mike said.

“Mrs Ravelle. Please display the pictures," Ivan requested.

“Yes, sir," Valeria bowed.

Without suspecting anything, without memory of what had taken place the previous night, she clicked on the first five titled ‘Wonders’

A video began to play, the one Mike had taken of her and Ivan at the party.
