Third Person POV

“Sir, Kyle just left the building. He’s heading to a meeting with Lucien. This is our window.”

Jason didn’t wait for more.

He pushed himself up from the back seat of the SUV, ignoring the white-hot stab of pain in his side where Violet had stabbed him.

Fresh blood seeped through the bandages, but he didn’t care. His face was pale, sweat dripping down his temples, but his eyes burned with determination to get his wife back.

Third Person POV Aria sat on the edge of the bed, carefully unwrapping the blood-soaked bandage from Jason’s side. Her hands were steady despite the turmoil inside her. The wound looked angry … red, swollen, and freshly torn. She cleaned it gently with antiseptic, applied fresh ointment, and wrapped it with clean gauze. Jason winced but didn’t make a sound. He simply watched her, eyes filled with a mixture of pain and aching love. When she finished, he reached out slowly and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers lingered on her cheek, trembling slightly.Aria paused. For a brief moment, her eyes softened as they met him. The man she had once loved was looking at her with such emotions that it made her chest ache. But the memory of his cruelty, his coldness, and everything that had happened after flashed through her mind like a knife. She turned her face away and pushed his hand back firmly.Without a word, she stood up, gathered the medical supplies, and began packi

The moment he saw the number, his blood ran cold. One of his men at the penthouse. He answered instantly.“Sir… she’s gone.”The words hit him like a bullet.Kyle didn’t wait for more explanation. He dropped everything, stormed out of the building, and drove like a man possessed. The city blurred past him in streaks of light and shadow. His hands gripped the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. His jaw was locked, eyes burning with a dangerous mix of rage and fear. When he reached the penthouse, he burst through the door like a hurricane.“Aria!” he shouted, voice echoing through the empty space. He ran from room to room, heart hammering. The bedroom was empty. The silk ties lay cut on the floor. The kitchen was untouched. The living room silent. Every corner he checked felt colder than the last.“Aria!” he called again, voice cracking with desperation. “Aria, where are you?”No

Third Person POV Jason drifted in and out of a painful, fevered sleep. His body burned. The wound in his side felt like a live coal pressed against his ribs, sending sharp, unrelenting waves of agony with every shallow breath. Sweat soaked the sheets beneath him. His head throbbed. Every time consciousness flickered, he felt the sting of regret sharper than any physical pain. But through the haze, he felt something else.Gentle hands.Cool cloth against his burning forehead. Soft tapping on his chest, checking the bandages. Fingers carefully wiping sweat from his neck and temples. The touch was hesitant at first, almost reluctant, but it never stopped. It stayed steady through the long hours of the night. In his delirium, he thought it was a dream. Aria couldn’t possibly be here, caring for him after everything he had done. But the touch felt real. Warm. Familiar. He whimpered once, voice hoarse and broken.“Aria…”The hands paused for a long moment, then continued their work … cha

Third Person POVThe first thing Aria felt was warmth.Soft blankets tucked around her, the distant crackle of a fire, the faint scent of pine and woodsmoke. For a moment, she lay perfectly still, confused by the absence of cold stone walls and the sound of Kyle’s footsteps outside a locked door. Then consciousness rushed back like a flood. She sat up fast, heart slamming against her ribs, eyes flying open … and found Jason. He was slumped in the armchair beside the bed, one hand resting on his knee, head tilted slightly to the side. He was sleeping. But he looked terrible. Pale as paper, dark circles carved deep beneath his eyes.Aria stared at him for three seconds. Then she grabbed the pillow.“You sedated me,” she hissed, launching herself off the bed. The first blow caught him across the shoulder. He jolted awake with a sharp gasp of confusion. “Aria …”She swung again. He raised both arms to block it, twisting sideways in the chair. The pillow connected hard with his forearm.

Even in sleep she wasn’t free. She ran through fields that stretched endlessly, grass cold beneath her bare feet, wind whipping her hair back , almost there, almost out … and then warmth pressed against her mouth, Her eyes snapped open.Kyle’s face was directly in front of her. He was leaning over her, one hand cradling her jaw with a tenderness that made her stomach turn, his lips brushing hers like this was something she’d wanted. Like she’d been waiting. His breath was warm and faintly sweet, his body a wall of heat above her, and for one heartbeat she didn’t understand what was happening. The moment she did she wrenched her face away so hard her neck cracked.“How long are you going to keep being stubborn?
