Mrs Avanti was besides herself with worry in the few minutes it took the doctor to get to her residence. She paced up and down in her son's room while occasionally reaching to out to touch his forehead in order to feel his temperature.

In all of his life, Roberto had never seen his mother so concerned about him. His memory of her was that she was always concerned about what would bring in more profits to her.

She however, always made sure to provide for all he needed financially and materially but that was all. She was never there with him emotionally nor worried about him like she was now.

Whenever he got sick, it was the butler's duty to make sure that the doctor came in and that he was well taken care of. His mother would only be aware of his sickness in whatever part of the world she was.

He was still grateful that she at least required vto be updated with whatever vhecwas up to. Many parents never gave a damn about what went on with their kids as long as they kept the cash flowin
