Chapter 10

As I stand before these ladies, I can’t believe how quickly they stepped up to help me. There was no hesitation at all. I ask my mom, “What is the spell?” My mom smiles, “Let me do it. It’s bad enough that your magic will be flying around, at least it won’t be used. That’s what leaves the marker.” I slap myself in the head, “Duh! That was really stupid.” All four ladies laugh, and I just shake my head in disbelief.” Mom laughs, “Let’s do this.”

I stand there as my mom starts chanting in Latin. I recognize some words, but not all of them. Suddenly, I start feeling my magic leave me, and I start feeling weird. I can tell that Selene is the first to receive my powers, because she starts glowing. When she absolutely cannot take any more, she tells mom, “Stop.” Mom immediately starts on Eden.
