Magnus

She was duplicitous. To think she had fooled me into thinking she was different. But she was just the same as all the daughters of Eve. I was going to break down this innocent façade of hers or break her.

“What gave you the right to speak to Elise like that?” I pushed back from the door, and she took a step back. “My relationship with her has nothing to do with you, Erina!” my voice thundered through the room.

She blinked a few times, thinking of lies she could tell me. Her mouth opened and then shut again.

“What? Nothing to say? You had plenty to say to her earlier, breaking her down to tears with your venomous tongue!” I gripped her biceps, my fingers bruising her pale skin. “That mark doesn’t give you the right to treat my mistresses with disrespect.”

She blinked again and her pale blue eyes flashed with the crystal eyes of her wolf. “So she can say whatever she wants to me and I must just take it? Is that right?”

Her tone surprised me. The wolf was bringing out her true nat

ErinaThere was no tenderness with him. He took what he wanted and he left. What did I expect? He clearly felt nothing for me. What a fool I was to think he would love me.But he was quick to defend Elise. Making me listen to how they plan to kill my family was his way of punishing me for what I said to Elise. It wouldn’t surprise me if she embellished the facts to gain his sympathy. No doubt he would always take their word over mine. I was just his toy. His possession. They were something more. The sun bathed the room in a soft crimson glow as I stood by the window looking out at the black snow-topped mountains. Somewhere out there, Magnus and his soldiers were running through the forest in their animal forms, ready to destroy my family.“They’re no longer your family,” I heard his snarling voice in my head.I shuddered to think how violent the clash would be. Many would die on both sides. It was a senseless slaughter. It was so easy for us to destroy that which we thought was evil.

He came looking for me.“Where have you been?” he stalked towards me, brows deeply furrowed and eyes dark as the storm clouds outside.“I was hungry.” I said simply. “And I got lost searching for you.” It wasn’t entirely true. I was hungry, though.“Erina…” he took my hand. “Did I say you could leave my room? You cannot go wandering on your own in the castle.” Although his expression looked stern, his tone was gentle.“I’m sorry, Master.” But I wasn’t. I knew he would find me.His warm hand on my back caused tingles up my spine. “Well, let’s find you a meal. I’m glad you’ve found your appetite.”I have found much more than that. He was concerned about me and left them to find me. Together we walked to a part of the castle I have never been to. As we approached, I picked up unfamiliar scents and smells and heard snatches of conversation. They were discussing my father and how they were planning to attack them. I stopped, pulling away from Magnus. He looked back at me with a smirk on hi

  • The Wolf Hunter's Daughter    Beautiful Monster

ErinaHow was it possible to hate someone yet miss their presence when they leave you? The room felt cold and empty without him, although the bed still held his heat and his scent lingered everywhere. He imprinted himself on my skin, in my brain. He was everywhere. Tied to him by an invisible chain. His slave, his unwilling mate.I transformed into a wolf. I still couldn’t wrap my head around it. Did that really happen last night? Examining my arms, my legs and finding them whole, no signs of injuries. But I felt them break, felt them stretch and realign. It wasn’t my imagination. Fur pushed through my skin. I heard it grow, however impossible that sounded. My teeth… I slicked my tongue over them. No fangs there. They were the same as always. The pain was hellish. I wanted to die, prayed to die. But then he came. Strange how he comforted me, making the pain bearable. I called out to him, the monster I hated, needed his arms around me, and he came. But I shouldn’t forget he did this to

There was no doubt she wanted to tear me to pieces, but she was still uncertain in her new form. She took a step forward, snarling, her lips pulled back to reveal sharp fangs. I saw surprise registering in her eyes at her unfamiliar voice.“Easy now…” I backed away to close the door behind me. “It’s alright. It’s over now.” She still needed to change back to her human form. I wanted to touch her, feel her white fur between my fingers, but I wasn’t about to risk losing a hand.My beast surged to the surface, eager to take her in her wolf form, make her submit to him. But I controlled him; it was too soon. I sent a message to Hein through the link, calling off the attack for tonight. Erina needed me. Her father could wait.‘Just observe them, Hein. Do not attack.’His disappointment was palpable through the link. ‘My king, the men are ready. It is the perfect time. The moon is at its peak. We feel its power. Let me lead them,’ he pleaded.‘Yes, and my mate has shifted for the first time

  • The Wolf Hunter's Daughter    A White Wolf

Magnus“We thought you would never come,” Elise welcomed me into the salon where the four of them waited. Their soft bodies draped in sensual silk, caressing their voluptuous curves. The aromatic scents of the oils they used permeating the salon. It tantalized the senses, setting the scene for a night of passion. If only I had time.My discussion with Hein had taken longer than expected and I wanted to spend some time with Erina before we left for the night’s attack on Saul’s hide-out. The plan was not to wipe them out entirely, but to gauge the extent of their strength and weaponry and to lure Saul out.But I had promised my mistresses to come to them. There was also the issue with Hanna that I needed to clear up.“When did I ever break a promise, Elise?” I embraced her, her soft curves pressing up against me. But when I took her mouth in a deep kiss, it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Strange. I wiped my lips.“What’s wrong with you, my king?” she noticed the distaste in my express
