"You're late," my dad said the moment I stepped into the dining room, barely a second after spotting me.

I rolled my eyes and glanced at Genesis, who sat in the chair closest to him. She looked at me, then quickly looked away, her eyes dropping to her plate.

I tore my gaze from her and looked toward Donald at the head of the table. Without a word, I moved to the seat opposite her and sat down.

"And you're still here, Father? I thought you'd have left by now."

I smiled at him, but it didn’t reach my eyes. I snuck another glance at my wife, who still refused to look at me. She stared at her food like it was more worthy of her attention than I was. My hand clenched into a fist. It was ridiculous to feel jealous of a plate of food—but I was. I wanted to toss it across the room just to force her to look at me.

"So that was your plan all along?" he said, voice laced with something darker. "Stay behind and wait for your old man to finish eating and leave? Or were you up to something els

  • The Womanizer's Mute Wife    Power in Her Hands

As soon as Genesis stepped into the car and the door closed with a heavy thud, she broke. Her body folded in on itself, head tucked between her knees as silent sobs shook her frame. The moment she’d dreaded—walking back into that house—was over. But it had taken everything in her.She clutched her throat, her breathing jagged and uneven. The silence in the car was deafening—loud in its own way. Her heart thundered in her chest. She had done it. She had really done it. She took it all back.Genesis raised her tear-filled eyes and looked up through the glass roof at the afternoon sky. Lips trembling, she mouthed the words:“I did it, Father… I did it.”There was no sound, but in her heart, she hoped he heard her.Outside, Knight and Dave stood at the curb, the early sunlight casting long shadows over the driveway.Dave glanced at the car and nodded. “Yes… she’s shaken,” he said softly. “But who wouldn’t be?”Knight stood with arms crossed, jaw tight. His eyes were fixed on the house.

  • The Womanizer's Mute Wife    Breaking News

Monica couldn’t believe what she was hearing on the phone or seeing on the television. She stood frozen in the middle of the living room, silk robe loosely tied, hair still wrapped in a towel from her interrupted shower. The wide flatscreen on the wall showed a live feed of the company's lobby, now flooded with reporters, news stations, cameras flashing, microphones stretching over each other like eager hands.“It seems there’s been a shocking turn of events this morning at Caldwell Technologies,” the reporter said. “Now operating as Valcore Holdings, the company was once the crown jewel of the Caldwell family. And today, it appears the last Caldwell has returned.”“Former heiress Genesis Caldwell, missing from public view for nearly fifteen years, has arrived without warning—and taken full legal control of the company.”“No official statement has been released, but internal sources say that board members were presented with verified documentation, including the original will of the l

  • The Womanizer's Mute Wife    Get Out of My Chair

Genesis trembled as she took in the company. The lobby, once pristine and polished in her childhood memories, now looked tired. The floors were scuffed, the plants in the corners wilted, and the once-golden Caldwell crest above the reception desk had been removed—replaced with a bland holding company logo she didn’t recognize.Employees rushed back and forth in a frenzy, papers in hand, phones pressed to ears. The air buzzed with urgency, disarray, and something close to panic. But then…She stepped forward. And they saw her.Everything slowed. One by one, heads turned. Conversations halted mid-sentence. Phones lowered. Footsteps stopped.Whispers started at the edge of the room and rippled outward like a wave.“Wait… is that…?”“No way.”“Genesis?”“Genesis Caldwell?”“What’s she doing here?”Her name spread through the space like a spark catching dry grass.Tears burned behind her eyes before spilling down her cheeks. A cold shiver racked her body. All those years locked in that roo

  • The Womanizer's Mute Wife    The Heiress Returns

A Few Hours LaterLeft Wing of the Estate Mansion“Why am I not surprised you already know Amelia was working under the bishop’s orders?” Cady asked with a small, knowing smile, her gaze fixed on Knight, who leaned casually against the wall, looking more amused than bothered. After yesterday’s assassination attempt, Knight had returned to the estate. His angels had immediately bombarded him with footage and findings from Amelia’s room, but he’d put the matter on hold—until now. He had finally summoned everyone to the meeting room.“I didn’t know she worked for Keenan,” Knight said flatly. “But it’s clear now.”Katherine stepped closer, arms folded tightly.“That’s because you let him be for all these years. Don’t forget—he’s the one behind this whole Takeshi mess.”The others nodded along with her. Even Damon, standing off to the side, gave a small grunt of agreement.Mia spoke up next. “What’s the plan now? We’re surrounded—Genesis’s family, Takeshi, now the bishop… What are we going

The Next DayThe car ride to the doctor’s office was silent. And awkward.Genesis pressed herself against the door, her cheek resting against the cool glass. She didn’t once look at Kieran. No matter how much she wanted to glance at him—or reach out, or even apologize for slapping him—she couldn’t bring herself to do it.Kieran, on the other hand, stared straight ahead. His jaw was clenched, his grip on the steering wheel so tight it looked like he might snap it in two. But he didn’t. Somehow, he kept himself together. The tension in the car was suffocating. Thick and unbearable.Genesis silently begged for the ride to be over. After several minutes, the hospital came into view. Kieran pulled into the driveway and shifted the car into park. But before he could unbuckle, Genesis had already opened the door and stepped out.He turned toward the now-empty seat beside him but said nothing. A moment later, he got out and followed her. When he caught up, his hand gently rested at the small

  • The Womanizer's Mute Wife    The Fun Part Begins

Amaya’s heart almost stopped at the voice on the phone. Her eyes widened, staring into nothing. Her body froze like a statue, and her heart pounded so hard it stole her breath. With trembling fingers, she slowly lowered the phone from her ear, her gaze glued to the screen. The caller ID still read Monica Caldwell—but the voice… that voice had been unmistakable.Kieran Blackwood. Her boss. But how?Her breath hitched, fingers turning stiff and cold. She hadn’t called him. She’d dialed Monica’s number, just like she always did when she had something important to report. But instead of Monica…It was him.Kieran’s voice crackled through the speaker again—calm, but cold.“I’d like for us to speak in private, Amaya. Don’t you think so too?”Her knees nearly gave out. Her thoughts scrambled, trying to make sense of it—but nothing did.Until it did.The call hadn’t gone to Monica.Knight intercepted it.Not by mistake. Not by luck. On purpose. She remembered something Katherine once joked a
