Chapter 50 - Deanna

I still can’t believe I’m going back home. 

I don’t know how I got talked into doing this.  Wait.  Yes, I do. 

All Connor has to do is look at me with his crystal-blue eyes, and I agree to anything he wants.  It doesn’t even shock me knowing that I’m going to be staying with him at his penthouse, while Dotty and her parents stay at a nearby hotel. 

However, that isn’t my biggest concern right now. 

No.  It is everything else this town represents that has my stomach in knots and beads of sweat lining my forehead. 

I glance out the private airplane’s window as I take a shaky breath.  I mentally chant to myself that I can do this. 

Connor leans over and kisses the top of my head. 

I can’t fight back the small smile that bubbles out.  However, I won’t admit it, but I’m getting used to him doing this all the time and
