Chapter 1

After having a little too much to drink at the dinner party, Amy Adams suddenly felt very sleepy. Her fiancé, Kevin Garcia, helped her up and brought her back to their hotel room.

Once they arrived, Kevin carefully lifted Amy and placed her on the bed. She was awake for a few moments, but was disoriented and unaware of her surroundings. Eventually, she realized she was back in her room and lying on her bed. "Ouch!" she exclaimed, "I really don't want to drink again. I feel like my head will explode!"

After taking a short nap, Amy slowly opened her eyes, but her head was still throbbing with pain. In the dimly-lit room, she saw a shadowy figure of a man and woman passionately kissing. She couldn't see clearly due to her headache, but she was certain that it was happening in the corner of her room.

Amy's eyes fluttered open, and she found herself staring at the ceiling. Suddenly, the sight of Kevin and Laura kissing right in front of her made her freeze in shock. She couldn't believe what she was seeing! They were so close to her, yet completely unaware that she was fully awake and watching them. As she continued to watch, anger began to boil inside her. How could they do this to her? She felt betrayed and hurt, as if her trust had been broken. Amy couldn't help but wonder how long this had been going on - and how many other secrets they had kept from her.

" Laura, stop messing around, Amy, and just fall asleep! Kevin warned the woman who was holding his neck and passionately kissing him non-stop.

"Are you afraid she might wake up? Laura responded with an annoying tone. You're getting married tomorrow; just give yourself to me tonight.

" Babe, you're just a troublemaker. Let's go to the other room. The man smiled seductively.

" no, Let's do it right here! I want to do it right in front of her! Laura said to Kevin,

Amy was still lying in bed, her cheeks wet with tears as she watched the man she had loved for years betray her trust in the most painful way possible. She had given up her dream of becoming an international supermodel to be with him, and now, the day before their wedding, she had caught him cheating on her.

Her heart was pounding so heavily in her chest that she could barely breathe. Her mind was racing with all the memories of the time they had spent together - the romantic dates, the laughter, the shared secrets, and the love. She thought about all the sacrifices she had made for him and the relationship, and now, it seemed like it was all for nothing.

Her eyes were fixed on him, and he didn't even seem to notice the pain he was causing her. He was with another woman, completely oblivious to the fact that he was breaking Amy's heart. She felt angry, hurt, and betrayed, and her mind was filled with a million different emotions all at once.

Amy took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, but it was too late. The damage was already done, and nothing could change the fact that the man she loved had betrayed her, and her heart was shattered into a million pieces.

Kevin and Laura were in a room when Kevin suddenly became aware of their surroundings and whispered to Laura, "Babe, behave. What if Amy saw us? Let's go to the other room."

Laura responded with a push and said, "Fine! Let's go first!"

As soon as Kevin left the room, Laura whispered to Amy, who was pretending to be asleep, "I'm pregnant with Kevin's baby. I won't let you and him get married tomorrow."

Amy tried to hold back her tears as her anger boiled inside her. She had given up everything to be with Kevin, including her successful career as a top international model. She had even helped Laura with her work and now, she realized that it was all in vain.

Laura left the room and followed Kevin into the other room. Amy remained still, trying to process what had just happened. She couldn't believe Kevin was having an affair right in front of her and that Laura was carrying his baby. the man she was supposed to marry the next day.

Amy's world was falling apart. She couldn't explain the pain in her heart. She tried to convince herself that everything was just a hallucination, "No! This is not true. It must be a dream. It's just a nightmare!" she thought. But the evidence was clear. She had heard everything.

Laura's cunning plan to sabotage Kevin and Amy's wedding was executed with precision. She knew exactly what she had to do to make Kevin change his mind, and it worked like a charm.

After hours of careful planning, Laura called Kevin in the middle of the night, pretending to be sick and in need of his help. Kevin, being the kind person he is, rushed over to her apartment without any hesitation. Little did he know that he had fallen into Laura's trap.

On the day of the wedding, Amy had no idea that Kevin had spent the night with Laura. As planned She arrived at City Hall hoping that everything would go as she planned. However, things took a turn for the worse as she expected. when Kevin called her with a cold and distant voice. He told her that Laura had accidentally sprained her ankle and that her manager was out of town.

I'm taking her to the hospital, right now, "he said.

Let's postpone our wedding today, let's schedule it for tomorrow! 

She was deeply hurt and disappointed to see him pretending that everything was still fine between them as if the events of the previous night never happened. It was hard to believe that the man she was about to marry had betrayed her trust by having an affair with another woman right in front of her, the night before their wedding. The thought of his deceitful actions made her feel disgusted and betrayed.

I wonder if I didn't see everything last night. how long is he planning to fool me and use me like a toy easy to push over. 

"there will be no tomorrow, "Amy thought to herself in disappointment"

As she walked across the parking lot towards her car, tears welled up in her eyes. The event she had attended had been an emotional rollercoaster, and now it was all coming to an end. Reaching into her bag for her sunglasses, she paused for a moment as she noticed a familiar gaze on the other side of the lot. Drawing closer, she saw a tall, well-built figure looking back at her. As she approached him, she recognized him as Shawn Lee, the CEO of Empire Entertainment, the most powerful entertainment company in New York! Despite the sunglasses, his presence was unmistakable. His sharp suit accentuated his broad shoulders and his chiseled jawline. The encounter left her feeling excited and optimistic about the possibilities of what the future could hold. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of connections and opportunities could arise from this chance meeting with one of the most influential people in the entertainment industry.

The two of them had the opportunity to meet once in France, back when she was still famous. As she laid her eyes on him, the thought crossed her mind, "Why is he here? Is he getting married too?"

"Mr. Lee! Ms. Alison hasn't arrived yet and she's already 15 minutes late!" his assistant reported.

In a cold tone, he replied, "Call her family and tell them that if she doesn't show up within the next 10 minutes, they don't need to come here at all."

He didn't want to marry any random girl, but his father insisted on him getting married that day, no matter who the bride was. "You need to settle down now," his father had said, and the assistant reminded him of this.

"Then just look for someone else on my contact list! I'll Give you half an hour," he commanded.

Amy couldn't help but think, "He also has a dilemma like mine. Despite being one of the most powerful, respected, and successful businessmen in New York, he has never been involved in any scandals. He does not want a girl who is only after his wealth. He has never been in any relationship before. He is only here to fulfill his father's only wish for him to settle down."

With a glimmer of hope in her eyes and a lump in her throat, Amy wiped away her tears and approached the man with a warm smile. As she got closer, she noticed that he was Angry.

"Excuse me, Mr. Lee," she said, trying to sound as confident as possible, I couldn't help but overhear that your bride hadn't arrived yet. It's a small world because I'm in a similar situation. My fiancé cheated on me the night before our wedding and left me." She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and continued, "I was thinking, since we're both here, why don't we get married instead?"

Her words were spoken with sincerity and genuine interest, but she couldn't help but wonder if she was making a mistake by suggesting something so impulsive and risky.

Upon seeing Amy, Mr. Lee's assistant Allen was taken aback. He wondered how she could approach Mr. Lee in such a seemingly irrational manner. Mr. Lee, meanwhile, removed his sunglasses and met Amy's gaze, looking perplexed yet calm. He then instructed Allen to obtain Amy's information, which the assistant promptly did despite already being aware of who she was.

Allen's swift and impressive presentation of Amy's personal and professional information to Mr. Lee left no room for doubt. In just two minutes, Mr. Lee had reviewed the details and agreed to marry Amy. They both entered City Hall with surety and determination to make it official. For Amy, marrying Mr. Lee was a timely escape from the hurt of Kevin's infidelity the previous night.

Amy was relieved to be married to Mr. Lee, knowing that their marriage, on his terms, was only on paper. This meant that she was free from the burden of having to fulfill her duties as his wife. Moreover, marrying Mr. Lee would make Kevin regret his actions. After thirty minutes, they strode out of City Hall, both holding their marriage certificates, confident of their new beginning.

Amy had something on her mind and asked Mr. Lee if they could talk. Without hesitation, he agreed, and they proceeded to the car. With their sunglasses on, they left the building.
