As Simon unlocked the gallery door, he noticed a parcel lying on the ground just in front of the door,he picked it up curiously as he opens the door.

The gallery's interior was quiet and still, awaiting the day's visitors. Simon examined the parcel, wrapped in brown paper and twine, with no indication of who might have sent it or what it could contain. He dropped it on the counter, wondering if it was a new delivery for one of the art pieces on display but it didn’t look as though,as it was flat and not heavy.

Simon hummed a tune as he carefully arranged the artwork on the gallery walls, making sure each piece was perfectly aligned and lit. He stepped back to admire his handiwork, nodding in satisfaction as the vibrant colors and eclectic styles seemed to dance across the space.

Two week later, Ava was sitting in the living room with Marcus they were seeing a tv series, when her face suddenly turned pale as she felt the urge to vomit. She quickly got up from the couch and rushed to the bathroom, covering her mouth with her hand. Marcus looked up from the TV, concern etched on his face. "Ava, are you okay?" he called out after her. Ava didn't respond, too busy trying to compose herself. She locked the bathroom door behind her and leaned over the toilet, her stomach churning. After a few moments, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. When she emerged from the bathroom, Marcus was waiting for her with a glass of water. "Hey, do you need some water or something?" he asked, his brow furrowed with concern. Ava took the glass from him, feeling a bit more composed. "Thanks, Marcus. I think I might be coming down with something," she said, trying to downplay the situation. Marcus nodded sympathetically. "Maybe you should lie down for a bit? We can pause t

  • The billionaire’s captive    Ryder? or figment of imagination

Sophia's busy schedule had indeed been a welcome distraction from the lingering thoughts of Marcus. As she immersed herself in her program, she found solace in the creative outlet it provided. Although Marcus still occupied a corner of her mind, she felt like she was slowly moving forward. The prospect of returning to her home country, however, brought mixed emotions. Sophia wondered if being back in the same environment as Marcus would set her back, by making it harder to shake off the feelings she had for him. The thought of running into him anywhere, anytime, made her hesitant. As she weighed her options, Sophia considered the idea of staying back and starting a new life. She had always been passionate about her art, and the thought of opening a mini store to showcase her work excited her. It would be a fresh start, a chance to build a new identity for herself, one that wasn't tied to her past with Marcus. But as she thought about her parents, Sophia's resolve wavered. She kn

Marcus slowly sat up, rubbing his temples in an attempt to alleviate the throbbing headache he was feeling. He looked around the room, trying to piece together what had happened the night before. His clothes were scattered on the ground only then did he notice that he was stark naked. He hurriedly picked up his clothes as he got dressed. After dressing he sat back on the bed trying to piece together the events of the previous night. He distinctly remembered drinking the juice Ava had offered him, and then... nothing. His memories seemed to fade away after that. After few seconds of intense struggle to remember, he vaguely recalled feeling drowsy, but he couldn't recall how he ended up in bed. He glanced over at Ava, who was naked just as much as he was. she was still asleep, her legs tangled in the sheets. Marcus's hand had been entwined with hers when he woke up, and he gently pulled it away so as not to wake her. Marcus, vaguely remembered feeling a sense of closen

Ava rummaged through her locker, searching for a pregnancy test kit, but couldn't find any. Frustrated, she decided to visit the hospital instead. She turned to Marcus, who was watching her with concern. "I'm going to the doctor," Ava said, trying to sound casual. "I'm not feeling any better." Marcus's expression turned worried. "Do you want me to accompany you?" Ava quickly shook her head. "No, it's okay. I'll be fine on my own." Marcus nodded, still looking concerned. "Okay, be good." With that, Ava left the house and headed to the hospital. As Ava sat in the hospital waiting room, she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. She was anxious about the potential pregnancy, but also relieved that she was taking steps to finding out the truth. When the doctor called her name, Ava stood up and walked into the examination room. Her vital signs were taken, and she explained her symptoms to the doctor. He scribbled out some tests for Ava, which were to be carried out in

Ava's voice was laced with concern as she asked, "Where are you? I haven't seen you at home." Marcus's calm voice replied, "I am in the hospital, Ava." Ava's tone immediately shifted to alarm. "What?! Are you okay? Did you...like regain your memories?" she asked, her words tumbling out in a rush as if concerned. Marcus's response was reassuring. "No, not yet. I am okay, just a little headache here and there. I thought it'd be best to rest here in the hospital. I will be back home tomorrow. Ava's concern seemed to ease slightly, but she still sounded worried. "Okay, that's good. Take care of yourself, Marcus." "Is Paul still with your mom?"marcus asked. Ava hesitated for a moment before responding, "Yes, he is." The conversation hung in the air for a moment before Ava asked, "Do you want me to come visit you?" "No, it's fine. It isn’t that bad.”Marcus replied. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Ava nodded, even though Marcus couldn't see her. "Okay, take care." Ava's ha

As Marcus waited for Alex to arrive, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was getting close to uncovering a significant part of his past. The mysterious woman in his flashback lingered in his mind, and he found himself wondering who she was could it be sophia who he had saw in his previous flash. The sound of footsteps outside the room broke the silence, and Marcus's heart skipped a beat. He called out, "Hello?" and Alex's voice responded, "Marcus, it's me. I'm here." Alex entered the room, concern etched on his face. "Marcus, what happened? You sounded distressed on the phone." Marcus rubbed his temples, trying to ease the lingering pain. "I had a flashback, and I think I might have hit my head. I'm not sure what triggered it, but I saw a woman in my memory. I'm not sure who she is." Alex's expression turned thoughtful. "Let's get you out of here and back to a safe place. We can figure out what's going on from there." As Alex helped Marcus out of the house, Marcus coul
