Astrid selected a white wine made out of green grapes and little alcohol. She did the basic etiquette for wine tasting and nodded her head when the fresh flavor of the drink hit her tongue.

Her next stop was the cake area, while she was busy thinking of the one to choose, her admirer pulled up beside her and made a suggestion.

"You should try this. It is the best here so far," he said and she glanced at him before picking his choice.

A bite of the cake lit up her eyes in amusement.

"It's so nice. Thank you," she politely said.

"I am glad you like it. My name is Scott Knight," he introduced.

"Oh, Astrid Everhart. Do you live here? I mean, you don't look like an Angeleno," she pointed while taking his hand for a shake.

"I get that all the time. Well, you are not wrong. I don't base here but in San Francisco. I only came here because my friend insisted I show up and support him at this event. He is one of the sponsors," Scott explained and she listened attentively.
