CHAPTER FIFTEEN

　　It felt good to have her car back, Annie thought as she buckled her seat belt. The car engineer had called yesterday after her session to say he'd finished working on the car. She had quickly rushed off to the mechanic shop to pick it up, at least she wouldn't have to accept rides from her boss again now that her car was in good condition.

　　"If you have any trouble with her, bring her to me and I'll fix her right up," the mechanic said.

　　"I'm sure it will be fine now," Annie had assured him.

　　She held the brakes when she saw the traffic light turn red. She thought of what her mother had discussed with her earlier.

　　Her mother's call had woken her up quite early, at first she had thought there was something wrong until her mother assured her that everything was alright.

　　"I called because I need to talk to you Annie," her mother said.
