CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE

　　A date and time had been fixed for the exchange and Agent Maya and Agent Jason had returned with Damien for this exchange.

　　Damien lay on the bed in his hotel room, sleep deprived. Anxiety got the better part of him, he tossed and turned in bed anticipating daylight. All he could think of was how to execute his plan and at the same time keep Annie safe.

　　He was completely lost in thought until the sound from his phone brought him back from his reverie. He checked the time and saw that he was running late for the exchange.

　　"Not today of all days," he mumbled as he rushed out of bed. He didn't bother to take a bath before rushing off.

　　He held the door handle and realized that the door was open, someone had broken into his hotel room.

　　The documents, he thought. He checked the case where the document was but it was intact.

　　Could he have forgotten to lock the door the previous night? he thought. Something was amiss and he could sense it, there was an intruder in his room.
