2. Reconcilable Differences

Maria POV

       I was carrying a tray of chicken with potato stew to the couple who ordered and were already seated when I noticed a dark, tall and gorgeous man seated just opposite the couple.

   His maroon tie was untied, the top two buttons of his shirt were undone, and his thick hair looked like he'd run his fingers through it recently. She bet he doesn't joke at all, because all he wore was a frown. She was vaguely aware of his other well balanced features, his straight nose, the slash of an unsmiling mouth but it was his dark eyes that held her in there depth, she felt as though he was pulling her toward him with his gaze and she complied.

   She quickly straightened her black apron and went over to his table as she was the one taking orders.

  "Good day sir, what would you be having" I asked .

He looked at me from head to toe and ignored my greetings. Rude much, but I had to compose my self.

"I'll just have Chicken and Chips with chilled Chapman" he said

I took the order and left the table angrily. He's too fine to be rude,

   I got what he ordered for and took it to his table, I was about dropping the food when I lost a step and emptied the contents of the tray on the floor and the Chapman splashed on him.

   "Wtf you piece of shit, why you so incompetent"... he roared

I was so scared and embarrassed, tried to tell him sorry and clean up the mess and he pushed me on the floor without thinking twice.

I had to defend my self and then I called him out.

   "You're such a spoilt arrogant idiot"  I said and I was shocked I did. He requested for the manager and demanded that I should get fired

He also threatened my manager to ruin his restaurant as he was a high profiled person if he should keep me here as one of his staffs.

That was how I lost my job because of a little mistake and an arrogant bastard.

   I went to beg my manager but all to no avail. Emma also pleaded on my behalf and her job was also threatened.

   How did I get into this mess?? ..How????

I  had to start searching for a new job, bearing in mind that my papers where expired I had to be careful especially since I didn't want to be sent back to Mexico.

   While I walked back home, my phone beeped and I checked who was calling and it was my mom

"Why now mama??"".... I said but I had to pick up so I wouldn't get her worried

"Hello cariño" ... she said

"Mama, I'm goood . How are you and papa?"

I asked and she told me they where good and asked about me and work

I had to lie

"Work is good mama, and I have to get back before my boss meets me talking on phone during my work hours" I lied

That's the only way she'd let me go on time

" Okay Cariño, take care of yourself te quiero"

"I love you too mama" .. I replied

"Bye"...

I walked back to my apartment, curled up in my duvet thinking of the next option not forgetting the bastard that caused this.

Javier POV

     I entered the restaurant, was a bit impressed with the interior decor, one wouldn't expect an interior with an ancient exterior the restaurant had.

      I found an empty spot and got seated immediately, as usual I expected to get immediate attention but no all I got where Stares especially from the brunette serving the couple opposite me.  Gosh the stares irritated me the most, these bitches should get to work already.

  After a couple of minutes, the brunette walked to my direction, I guess she finally came to her senses. As she got closely I got to notice her features

    "She's cute" I thought but senseless , it wouldn't take much to get this one in bet with any amount. When she got to my table she greeted

"Good day Sir, what would you be having" and I completely ignored her greetings like I was fucking hungry and her greeting wouldn't fill me up.

"Chicken and Chips with chilled Chapman". I said

I noticed she rolled her eyes but what did I care, she left angrily. I waited for another 20minutes before I sighted her bringing my order, while she was coming she clumsily fell emptying the contents of the tray on the floor and ofcos the Chapman splashed on me

" wtf you piece of shit"  why are you so clumsy?? I was so angry .

Why is everyone trying to annoy me today, she tried to clean up the mess and I pushed her had and she went straight to the floor. I didn't fucking care

" Where is the manager?" I asked

I want this piece of shit fired . I don't think you want to loose high profiled customers like me because of clumsy staffs like this. If you don't fire I promise I'll close this place down. I promise you.

The manager was scared and I know he recognized me and so he fired her immediately, she tried begging him but he took my orders.

   I didn't expect the next thing that happened

"You heartless arrogant bastard" .. she said with tears in her eyes, not like I cared I was prepared to ruin her further if she messed up more. I left the restaurant, I was a mess I had to change so I called John to take me back home. Today was ruined and I was madly pissed, but in all of this I couldn't take the waitress's figure out of my head, even through the apron I noticed her curves, and her eyes and of cos her reaction, couldn't get it off my head, no one had ever reacted that way towards me. I brushed of the thought

She's a woman it wouldn't take much to get her where I want her, she's just a bitch and she's not any different from the the rest.
