I woke up the next morning feeling cold, I shuffled around the bed to look for a blanket to cover my body even as my eyes were closed,

Wait, I paused, this didn’t even feel like my bed. I opened my eyes instantly and sat up so fast I almost had a whiplash, to see I was in an unfamiliar room,

I looked at my body to see that I was naked, and my lingerie was scattered across the bed and floor

“ Oh my God, what have I done?!” I whispered in a panic, the memories of last night all came crashing back, and I felt hot shame cover me like a hot blanket,

I slept with a stranger! “ You’re so stupid, Emma!” I called to myself as I hit my head several times with my palm, I felt so sore as I stood up from the bed,

I peered in the mirror to see my body Littered with love bites, I was appalled,

What made me behave that way with a stranger? Oh my God!

I looked to the side to see a note and a small envelope, it read

“ for your work”, what the hell? This person was very rude, or he didn’t even care how he came across,

I opened the envelope and came across a check for a hundred thousand dollars! I shook my head Like it would rewrite the figures on the check, but it didn't,

And of course, there was a part left out for my name to fill it, I heard a knock on the door, so I quickly put on my skimpy dress, but it was daybreak already and this was far too revealing to walk around in,

I caught the sight of a jacket on the couch, that must have belonged to the stranger who I gave myself to last night, and without much thought, I put it on and walked out,

The person behind the door was a maid who I’m sure was sent to clean up the room of any mess we made, God I was so embarrassed!

My face was flushed red with embarrassment, I made my way downstairs to the changing room, and oh God I haven’t talked to Amy since last night! She must be worried sick,

I heard muttering and quiet sobs In the back room as I entered, I saw Amy squatted down with her phone and her head buried on her laps, she didn’t go home,

“ Amy?” I called with my raspy voice.

Her head instantly pushed up to her face very red eyes, her hair was tousled, and she let out a cry of relief, she got up In a half-run and rushed up to hug me

“ Emma, oh my God! You stupid girl! You had me worried sick, you are alright! I was fucking scared of death, Thank God!” she cried out in tears.

She pushed herself off me to look

around my body as I was hurt,“ oh my God Emma what are these marks? I was so worried, especially after I noticed that took a sex pill!”

“A sex what?” my eyes widened, yes I took a pill but I thought it would calm my nerves, I don’t know if it was a sex pill no wonder I did that! No wonder my body reacted to him!

Amy looked at my hand and saw the check, her eyes searching my face in realization,“ Emma, what is This? Why are you with a check? And whose jacket is this?”

I don’t even know when I burst into tears, she stopped asking questions and hugged me again, I couldn’t even blame the stranger, he didn’t drug me, I drugged myself without realizing

The noise of a monitor beeping woke me up from my sleep, I from the family’s pungent smell of disinfectant, I knew I was in the hospital, I must have fainted from skipping my meals, but it was never as bad as this!

I looked over to see that my boss from the restaurant Mr. Jonathan had escorted me to the hospital, and was now talking to a doctor

They both noticed I was awake and halted what they were discussing, Mr. Jonathan gave me an unreadable gaze, like he was mad at something the doctor told him.

“Miss smith, you’re awake” the doctor quipped getting too close to my bed, I sat up and leaned on the pillows as I tucked my hair away from my face,

“ What happened, doctor?”

“ That was a close call, Miss smith, but we have given you an I. V drip to protect you and the baby, you have to take good care and eat well”.

“ What do you mean, baby doctor?” I asked In a panic, maybe he gave me another person's diagnosis,

My heart started beating fast in my chest, I clutched my belly as I looked at the doctor, dumbfounded by what he just said,

“Congratulations Miss smith, you’re pregnant”
