Vine went across the street for the third time. Clare had come into the office today and was already being a pain in the neck. She shouted at Vine for not managing the office properly, complaining about the dust on her table.

Vine was still dealing with the drama, when her mother came in, and Vine had to ask herself if she had been cursed. As soon as Elizabeth sat down, she called for Vine to get her coffee from the shop across the street.

When Vine brought it, she said it was too black, she needed a little bit more cream, so she went back. The second time, Elizabeth said she needed crackers. The third time, she said the coffee had got cold while she was waiting for Vine so she wanted another cup.

Vine wanted nothing more than to scream at her, and give her a piece of her mind, but she knew that would be the day she died, so she just swallowed her anger and took the elevator down.
