Rose had waited patiently for the maid to come to her with information, she had skillfully made her way to a private house so no one will know, she didn’t know that she was being followed by someone

“good evening countess Brenton” the maid called

“what information do you have for me Eloise?” she called as she took off her cloak, “remember you still have your father’s debt to pay, I hope it is something useful”

“my lady I really haven’t found much but they do get along, there are a few misunderstandings, I’m doing my b-best” she fumbles,

Eloise’s father was once a worker in the countess's household but died before he could pay off all his debt leaving the burden to her, but the countess had promised to brush it all of if she secretly works for her
