Chapter 2: Incarcerated

Sylvia was roughly dragged by Liam's men into a dark, damp room. Her handbag and phone were mercilessly thrown into the trash. Sylvia's heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest, would she be killed? Was her life from today going to hell? Sylvia wondered what she did wrong, she didn't want to die. Will her parents come to save her or are they still running, worried about Vivian. After all, she is just an adopted child! From childhood to adulthood, she never received any attention from the Cavill family, they adopted her because they thought they could not have children. Unexpectedly, when she had just returned home after three years, Daisy was pregnant with Vivian in pure happiness. Antony's term. From then on, Sylvia was like a thorn in the eyes of her adoptive parents - who used to love her very much, but she was redundant, and no one cared. Sylvia lives like a shadow in the Cavill house, Vivian is pampered immensely. Although she only got into a middle school, Antony immediately bought her daughter Vivian a luxury car. And Sylvia still often hitchhiked in her adoptive parents' car or hitched a ride with Leo even though she got into a famous university in the city. On the first day of eagerness to test drive to a pub with her boyfriend, Vivian caused a fatal accident but had no regrets, she even pretended to be unlucky, mourning the broken new car, it's broken.

Sylvia remembered her uncle Leo. Did he not find her and know she was kidnapped or not? In the family, only Uncle Leo cares about her.

"Hey, bitch, what are you doing standing around? Hurry up. We've got to go to dinner." The big fat hand pushed Sylvia so hard that she staggered, almost falling.

Roaring.

The great iron door slammed shut.

Sylvia's whole body ached, her mouth aching from clutching the oversized towel.

"Uncle Leo, hurry up and save me! I'm scared." Tears flowed endlessly down Sylvia's beautiful, stained face. The more she tried to move, the tighter the ropes became.

The smell of dead and musty mice hung in the air.

"Thirsty... so thirsty!"

There was the sound of rough footsteps slamming against the cold ground. On reflex, Sylvia shrank back, trying to drag herself to the corner of the wall. A premonition of a demon from hell is coming to claim her life.

A tall black figure from outside pushed open the door and stepped inside. His shadow covered Sylvia. Liam can't wait to meet the man who murdered his girlfriend and baby more than ever.

"Thirsty… right?" Seeming to read Sylvia's mind, the man's low voice suddenly resounded.

Liam approached and crouched down to observe the disheveled girl before his eyes. This afternoon, she is also a very beautiful porcelain doll. But now it's ugly and dirty.

Liam reached out and tugged at the handkerchief stuffed in Sylvia's mouth, repeating in a joking tone.

"Thirsty… right? Would you like some water?" Liam swings the water bottle in front of Sylvia, provoking them.

"Please… give me water!" Sylvia's throat burned, she begged in a low voice.

"Here's your water…!" Liam brought the water bottle closer to Sylvia and suddenly poured it all on the poor girl.

Sylvia's whole body trembled. Her long, wet hair was grabbed by Liam, tugging at her brain.

"Murder like you... deserve it? Do you deserve to drink my water? You should die... die for Ariel and our children. What's wrong with her, why did she die so tragically? What's wrong with my child?" Liam couldn't contain his anger, and shouted, thrusting his hand so hard that Sylvia fell to the cold ground.

"I… I didn't kill your wife and children." Sylvia tried to lick the drops of water on her dry lips with her tongue, explaining in a whisper.

"Don't make excuses. You, it's you, the Cavill's damn daughter with your car killed my wife and children. I'll put you in jail at any cost, don't think the Cavills can run away. sorry for you! Wait."

"Please listen to me, I didn't kill your wife and children… please, please let me go." Sylvia sobbed and knelt at Liam's feet, endlessly.

Now she knew why those violent people had brought her here. It is because of the crime that Vivian has committed… but how can he make him believe her! His scary face and angry expression like a mad beast made her extremely scared. As he grabbed her hair, she could feel that tight grip that could kill her at any moment. Vivian is no longer in Ohio, if he knows the culprit is Vivian, will she be released or not? But what about her parents? If they knew that she was the one who told Vivian's whereabouts, would she be hated by them? She was a child abandoned at the door of the orphanage, a child no one needed. The Cavills were her only family, she couldn't lose her again! Will her adoptive parents love her like before when she accepts to take the blame foreign?

"Get out, don't dirty my feet! You don't deserve pity. Stay here and repent for your sins, until the camera is back on, I'll put you in jail."

"At least he didn't kill me." For some reason, Sylvia felt relieved, she would live.

"I… I'm sorry, sorry!" She stammered, backing away, her eyes fearfully fixed on Liam. The

"Sorry, can you bring the dead back to life?" Liam rolled his eyes and kicked Sylvia's body, causing her to scream in pain. He rushed to strangle Sylvia's throat causing her to cough, tears not stopping. Liam's big hand tightened more and more, Sylvia couldn't breathe, her throat ached, burning.

"It hurts…it hurts!" Sylvia's mouth was filled with the smell of blood. She understood that she would become his tool to vent his anger at any time. At this point, she wished she could pass out so she wouldn't feel the pain any longer.

Liam let go of his hand, causing Sylvia to fall hard on the floor full of smelly dead rats, not caring about Sylvia lying on the ground in pain, quickly left.

The under left waiting outside, handing Liam a handkerchief, looking at him, waiting for orders.

"Watch it, don't let it happen!"

"Yes, boss."
