Old Enemies

After hurrying to her boss, Emily said in a low voice, “Sir, Mr. Bradley, Mr. Jacob Curtis, and Richard Kiyoshi are here. I was just about to call you and let you know. They seem angry and demanding to meet you.”

It didn't make sense that the three would be here and mad when he had not called either of them, and the fact that they were only proved Zane's guess right. This was a setup to destroy his credibility and his reputation in the business cycle.

“Where are they?” Zane asked.

“Well, I told them to wait in the boardroom,” Emily paused and glanced nervously at Emma, “but they are pretty determined to meet you.”

Wanting to get this over with, Zane sighed heavily, then said, "Let's go,”

With a nod, Emily led the couple to the boardroom and Zane pushed the doors open once they reached the entrance to the room. Inside, he spotted the three people standing together, looking straight ahead, their jaws clenched and their eyes glistened with anger.

“Good morning, Mr. Bradley, Mr. Curtis.
