เข้าสู่ระบบAlpha kaid POV
Since I woke up my wolf has been restless. He has been pacing around causing me the worst headache ever. I have asked him several times what's and he keeps saying he doesn't know.
I have to go to that damn pack to fetch my breeder. When you're twenty eight and haven't found your mate you're more likely not to get one. It's most likely she's been dead for ages. I have considered getting a chosen mate but I want an heir. That ensures that whoever is doing it isn't approaching me because of my power and money.
For years several she wolves has approached me with different trick just to get pregnant. There are several portions they could use to boost their fertility . At last their end goal is to get to the crown . Thankfully I can smell their tricks from miles away.
I am not a womanizer but I have definitely had some flings when my wolf needs to steam off.
" Your majesty, Beta Campbell has prepared everything for your departure," one of my warriors came to inform me.
Thank you Sylvester, I answered him. I wanted to do this as soon as possible.
I heard the Alpha of ice stone pack was a total douche. He still has slaves. As a king I'm supposed to do something but the council won't let me and that made me thinking that he has some powerful back up.
I bet the breeder is one of those called she wolves that wants to climb her way to the top. Too bad I'm going to have her sign a contract so she won't lay claim to my pup later on.
"Ready your majesty ," Campbell said, opening the car door for me .
I growled at him and he chuckled. My pack members do not usually use my title. Some call me Alpha as respect, my warriors calls me your majesty when on duty and Campbell does it just to piss me off
He gave me a folder with a picture of the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on.
"Her name is Arya Daston, born on May 2 , so she would turn eighteen in two days. She's the daughter of Alpha Daston . There's no much information about her . She doesn't use any socials or even has a phone number." Looking at her picture I couldn't take my mind of her , she's just seventeen, how can a young girl agree to become a breeder.
"Doesn't it seem off to you?' I asked Campbell.
He's my Beta for a reason , I wanted to hear what he has to say. I know they were many candidates so why would he choose someone this young.
Yeah, it does, I called her house yesterday to talk to her and she seemed okay with it; I don't much either, he explained.
I snarled at the thought that she might be forced to this, I make a mental note to ask her when I take her out of the pack. If her pack is willing to give her away at such a tender age then they will most likely do it again; I can't leave her there.
"There's something else Campbell said; her mother died immediately after giving birth to her and she has an elder sister who would be the Luna of stone creek pack." I nodded my head at the new information, my wolf stirred at the back of my mind but didn't say anything.
What the hell is wrong with you? I asked but got no response in return
I opened my laptop to do some work as it's a long journey and I need to start getting comfortable.
One day later.
We were finally close to the pack. I couldn't wait till we got there. I have thought of her the whole time. Her sparkling grey eyes, pale and black full length hair frame her face. It has been hard for me to control myself but I had to. I couldn't loose control. I had to find some information first. If she were forced to be my breeder, then I would bring her to my pack so she can be free.
"Alpha, we are entering the ice stone pack," Campbell announced.
I looked through the window and felt how much my wolf wanted to come to the surface. I am having a hard time control him , his usually composed.
This has never happened before except when he sense extreme danger.
"Ravage," what the hell is wrong with? I asked again yet he only grunted to me in response and this was beginning to frustrate me that I can't control him. I'm an Alpha king for f**k sake!
" Kaid", what's wrong man? Campbell asked, noticing my discomfort.
"Ravage is going wild and he won't tell me why," I answered. He looked T me confused but before he could ask me more, sam the driver came to let me know we have gotten to the pack house.
I tried to calm wolf by taking deep breaths while Beta presented himself. I exited the car and saw Alpha Daston, her elder sister and Alpha Kory. I guess he's the mate of her older sister. She's beautiful but not as Arya. Before I could see anyone else, the Alpha spoke to me.
Your majesty, you're welcome to my humble abode, I hope your journey wasn't too complicated? Let me guide you to your room , as we will give a feast in your honor, he said smiling _ fake smile if I may add. And what did I just hear, a feast? who said I was staying? I gave explicit instructions that I wanted to see the breeder and leave. Moon Goddess please provide me with patience.
"Alpha Daston, who's the Alpha in charge," I asked him.
That would be me your majesty, Alpha Kory replied, then he adds , I would be married to lady christabel in the soonest and that makes me automatically the Alpha.
Hmm...I raised an eyebrow, what does another Alpha has to with other pack, but that Isn't my business, I thought.
"Very well then," I approached him. Alpha Kory I came here only for the breeder I won't be staying. I see everyone stares at me in shock.
I guess their feast is going to waste. I was about asking him where she was when the soft breeze brought to me the most delicious aroma I have ever perceived. It was a hint of lavender and strawberries, my mouth watered instantly and I moved my eyes towards the direction of the smell. My eyes instantly connected with the woman that has haunted my thoughts for the last few days. As soon as I saw her , my wolf uttered something that had me over the moon.
"MATE" he said excited .
"What? I asked to confirm what I really heard."
Go kaid, she's our mate, go to her now..he urged.
Finally....I finally found my destined mate and she's gorgeous. I could see it from her eyes that she knows we are mate but why does she look so scared? I wanted to ask her but the woman who's her older sister came right next to me.
"Excuse me your majesty, I am christabel, Alpha Korys Luna. Allow me to introduce to you Arya Daston, my sister." She said but I could see her gaze turn moderous when she didn't move.
That made a growl escape from my throat. How dare she disrespectful my mate in front of me.
"Hello Arya, my name is king kaid viyr, I introduced. I could see how her eyes moved but she wasn't still frozen in place. Why does she look so scared? When I see that she wasn't going to say anything then I continued, I would like to speak to you, can we go somewhere private? She just moved her head in approval and I took that as my answer. Christabel , I called. I asked her to show to somewhere private but I could see how she was fuming in anger. Ravage was fighting to come to the surface. He wanted her head for looking at our mate like that.
"Christabel show me to a private place, I repeated."
I always treat everyone equally but she has started getting on my nerves. She looked at me and plastered a fake smile on her face. She's a professional at trying to get on my good books, but too bad for her she isn't going to get what she wants.
Yes, your majesty; Arya come here , she ordered.
I growled at her before she continued. Her tone towards my mate was making it hard for me to control my wolf; he wants to rip her head off. That got me a confused look from everybody, what the hell is going on? Isn't my mate an Alpha? She should be respected then why does everyone treats her like s**t.
Something is happening here and I would find out exactly what's happening.
The chains had barely finished tightening around the Shadow Alpha when the sky split open. At first, I thought it was thunder. The clouds above the courtyard trembled. The air shifted, the pressure dropping so suddenly that everyone stilled, heads snapping upward in instinct. Then it came. A blinding beam of white-golden light shot from the heavens, striking the center of the courtyard with a force that cracked stone and sent wind spiraling outward in violent waves. I staggered back, shielding my eyes. Gasps and shouts erupted around me. Warriors who had just been roaring in battle now stumbled in confusion. Even the vampire king hissed sharply, retreating a step as the light intensified. It wasn’t shadow. It wasn’t spring. It was something else entirely. The beam condensed slowly, narrowing, and shaping. And then I saw him. A figure descended within the brilliance, suspended as though carried by the light itself. His body lowered with controlled grace, boots tou
Arya’s POVThe day arrived faster than I thought.I felt it before the sun rose. The air inside the palace was wrong. Even the servants moved too carefully, their whispers thinner than usual. Outside my window, clouds drifted low and heavy, dimming the morning light into something grey and watchful. He was already awake. The Shadow Alpha stood near the balcony doors, staring at the courtyard below. His posture was rigid, his hands clasped behind his back.He didn’t turn when I sat up.“You’re awake early,” I said softly.“I didn’t sleep.”Of course you didn’t.Suspicion clung to him like a second skin now. He had been watching me more closely these past two days. Asking careful questions. Testing my answers. He felt the weakness in his blood. He just didn’t know its name.I rose slowly and crossed the room. “You’re tense.”“Am I?” His voice was mild.“Yes, something is troubling you.” I said placing an arm on his shoulder.
Shadow Alpha’s POVSomething was wrong. Not with the kingdom, but with me.I stood before the mirror in my private chamber, watching the faint ripple of shadow coil around my fingers. It responded but slower than it should have. The darkness that once leapt eagerly at my command now moved like thickened smoke.I clenched my fist. The shadows snapped tighter, obedient but the strain pulsed along my veins like resistance.Impossible.I do not weaken.I had consumed ancient magic. Broken alphas older than dynasties. Bent seers to silence. I was not some fragile warlord undone by fatigue. And yet... Scott’s voice echoed in my mind. You think I’m weakened.No.I did not think.I knew something had shifted. The question was why.I rolled my shoulders, dismissing the mirror. The air around me felt different lately less reactive, less afraid. Guards no longer stiffened instantly when I entered a corridor. Servants’ heartbeats
Scott’s POVPower has a sound, but most don’t hear it.For years, I heard it in him.The Shadow Alpha didn’t need to announce himself. His presence moved like a storm front pressurized, and inevitable. Even standing ten paces behind him, I could feel the weight of it pushing against my chest, reminding me who commanded the darkness in this kingdom. That sound had changed.I noticed it three days ago.At first, I thought it was my imagination.I mean, he had been training in the southern yard, demonstrating a new shadow-bind technique to the elite guard. Normally, when he summoned his power, the air tightened instantly like lungs refusing to expand. The ground dimmed. Light recoiled. But that afternoon, it lagged slightly. The shadow pooled at his feet a fraction of a second too late. The bind formed but slower than how it used to be.No one else reacted. They were too busy watching the spectacle, too blinded by habit to question the rhythm
Two weeks. It's been fourteen mornings of feeding pine sap onto an unmovable body.Fourteen nights of carefully brewed tea poured with soft smiles and lowered lashes.Fourteen days of walking a blade so thin that one misstep would cost me everything.I learned the rhythm of it.At dawn, I would slip from the Shadow Alpha’s bed under the excuse of prayer or restlessness. I would retrieve the pine root now smaller, whittled down piece by piece and carry it to her chamber. I fed it to Kaid’s mother with patience that bordered on desperation. Sap smeared across her tongue. Spring energy poured into her still chest. And every time... still nothing. No flutter of eyelids. No tightening of fingers. No whispered breath. She lay frozen in that cruel in-between, as though death had paused mid-claim and forgotten to finish. If the dream had lied, I would force it to tell the truth. At night, I returned to the Shadow Alpha’s side, playing the atte
Arya’s POVI woke up with her voice still echoing in my skull.Wake me, she had saidmNow, what do I do? I thought. The room was dark. The Shadow Alpha’s breathing was steady beside me, deep and untroubled. One arm lay heavy across the bed, close enough to touch, far enough to avoid. I lay still, staring at the ceiling, feeling the dream cling to my skin like cold dew.It had not been a normal dream. It was a pull. A direction. The spring stirred inside me, restless and bright, like sunlight trapped beneath ice. I closed my eyes and reached inward, letting its current guide me the way it once had in the forest long before blood and power had complicated everything.A single image of a pine tree surfaced.I inhaled carefully, easing myself from the bed without waking him. The Shadow Alpha shifted slightly but did not stir. The tea was doing its quiet work. Not enough to alarm him. Just enough to soften his edges.I dressed quickly in dark layer
By the time Arya reached her chambers, the morning light had already begun to swell across the glass panes. The world outside glimmered—rosy gold mist curling around the far gardens, the faint trill of the aviary—but none of it felt real. Not after that moment in his office. Not after those words
Arya povTorn between sending a letter to Kaid or not about my unspoken fear. I decided against not. I was woken up by the guard and cleaners shuffling around my wing axis. I went down for breakfast. My father and sister with Bobby were already seated."Arya! Come join us," christabe
Third person pov The room was silent but for the wind. A candle burned low beside Kaid’s desk, its flame steady — unnervingly steady — as though even the air itself dared not stir in the Alpha’s presence.Kaid sat half turned toward the hearth, the faint glow of embers drawing a bronze e
Then the room was empty again. The wards sealed. The candle flickered once — then went out.Kaid stood there in the dark, his breath slow, his mind burning. He could still hear Adam's last words echoing in his skull, heavy as iron:The thing that hunts her wears the shape of what she
