Noah's pov.

It's been hours since school closed for the day and Solene isn't back home yet.

She doesn't partake in any extracurricular lessons, nor does she engage in after-school sports, so where the hell is she?.

I decided not to overreact, besides it's perfectly normal to be late from school on some days.

I usually return late even when there is no practice after school. Just for the fun of it.

What bothers me is that Solene isn't that type of girl. She was always the first to race out of the class at the end of school, except when she was helping a teacher or principal Bradshaw with some school work.

That might be the case, she could be occupied. Here I was breaking a sweat over her delayed absence

I busied myself, reading through the topics taught in biology this semester before I got suspended.

I can't wait for her to start drilling me with questions, she'd be stunned. I can already imagine her face.
