The howling alpha and the forest of deception

In the planet of werewolves, the kingdom of Byrandan flourished under the rule of King Felton. All the werewolves, loved their king. King Felton had a son, named Zane. He was destined to be a great werewolf warrior one day. They lived happily and nothing disrupted their peace and love, until, one day, the King of Pamlivam, Abner, from the planet of vampires, came to visit Byrandan, both the kingdoms had a mutual agreement not to wage war against each other or do any kind of harm to the Kingdom of each other. It had been a century since King Abner had visited the kingdom of Byrandan.

When King Abner came to the large palace of King Felton he bowed and said,"Good day King Felton. I King Abner from Pamlivam , have come here to give you my greetings."

King Felton stood up and bowed too and said,"Hello King Abner, it is nice to have you here with us. What is it that you require?"

King Abner hesitated before saying it but he managed to say,"We are building a missile, to scare our enemies and to be sure that no other planets threaten our existence, but we need some resources and I had to come here and ask you to help us with it."

King Felton played with his beard and kept staring at the ground with a questionable look in his face and he said,"My dear King Abner, you know I cannot help you"

"But why?!"

"Because if you build that missile, my people will raise questions, they will not allow me to help you with such a dangerous weapon, and we both know that we are each other's most dangerous enemies, so I am sorry, I can't help you"

The king of Vampires made a sad face and said,"But - But, I have already promised my people about it, they will not want me as their king anymore! Please!"

King Felton made a gesture of dismissal and said,"I can't help you"

King Abner had nothing else to say, he glared at King Felton and went away stomping his foot.

Abner returned to his kingdom , sitting in his chariot pulled by two purple Dragons.

Both the kings could travel to each other's planet through a method of teleportation in the palace of their respective ancestors.

The son of King Felton was listening to the conversation between his father and Abner.

He came out of the shadows and said,"Dad, why did you refuse to help?"

His father's expression softened and he said,"Son , I had no choice but to refuse him. If I helped him, my people would hate me. And, Abner might not use the missile on us, but we are not certain if his next generation decide to be by our side or not. If we help them create a weapon of destruction, we are bringing destruction upon ourselves."

"But father, you told me that helping others is a good deed"

"Oh, yes! Helping others is a great thing, but only if it doesn't kill you",said his father smiling.

Young Zane didnot agree with his father but he nodded and said,"I understand father"

"Now run along son! Your mother might be waiting for you!"

The young werewolf ran away, shouting for his mother.

All the werewolves lived in human form and transformed back to their original wolf-form whenever they wished.

The night crept in and everybody was sleeping. Zane was awake, playing with a small knife that his mother had taught him how to hold and throw.

Zane saw some figures approaching. Zane could sense that they weren't werewolves. The air was cold and it usually happened when Vampires were around. Zane didnt like it but he was scared of vampires. He knew how easily vampires could kill werewolves.

There was fire in some distance and the fire was approaching the palace. Zane panicked. He ran out of his room and banged on his father's door.

"FATHER! FATHER! OPEN THE GATE! THERE IS FIRE, THERE IS SALVERN FIRE!"

His father opened the gate and looked at his son and shouted ,"What happened Zane?!"

"There- There is the SALVERN FIRE"

"Salvern fire?! But, Werewolves die from Salvern Fire!",shouted King Felton and ran out of his room. And, he saw blooming light pinkish and yellowish brown fire.

"WHO DID THAT?!", shrieked Zane.

"I don't know!",said King Felton staring at the fire,"Wait....today I declined Abner's request to help him! This must be him! THE VAMPIRES ATTACKED US! THEY BROKE THE TREATY!"

The King commanded the guards to go out and help the local werewolves put out the fire.

"It is not helping",shouted one of the guards

"Just keep trying!",shouted the other guards.

King Felton had given the guards strict orders to capture any vampires on sight and bring them to King Felton.

The palace's big door opened and two guards came in with a man, he was a vampire.

"Your majesty! We found him nearby, we have reasons to believe that he started the fire",said a tall black guard.

"You, Vampire! Did you start the fire", shrieked King Felton.

"Yes",he replied without hesitation.

"You broke the treaty! We were not allowed to do any harm to each other's kingdom! Who commanded you to do it?!", shrieked the king

"I was given the command by Prince Alfred , son of King Abner"said the Vampire,"King Abner is dead , Prince Alfred is the new king of Pamlivam. We take orders from him, and he has ordered us Vampires to finish you all"

The King got up in rage and shrieked,"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! FINISH US?!"

The Vampire smirked and said,"Yes, to kill all the werewolves in existence. I still don't know why King Abner didnot want to kill you all. I don't understand why he wanted to make peace with you creatures! What Prince Alfred is doing, is the right thing! Getting rid of you filthy wolves!"

Before The King could say another word, a blast was heard, then another was heard. The King saw that the Vampires were firing Silver arrows at them. The werewolves were dying. Many were shouting for help. The Vampires were shooting silver cannon balls , smashing the houses of the werewolves. The king wept at the sight of that. He ran to help them but an arrow sprouted from his heart. It was Prince Alfred, he had shot Zane's father, King Felton. And now the king lay dead on the ground, his crown fallen, and his son, Zane, watching with horror, at the destruction of his world
