-Rosalie-

My head was pounding, I felt like it was going to split into two at any given moment. Groaning I peeled the comforter off my body and walked to the bathroom where I washed my face. Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I traced the bags around my swollen eyes.

Taking a quick shower and getting dressed, I walked out of the room and went to the kitchen. As soon as I opened the door, Cage jumped off a stool and ran to hug me.

"Mummy." He hugged me tightly.

"My love." I smiled picking him up. “Good morning.”

"Your eyes are swollen." He pointed out after pulling his face away from my chest to get a clear view of my face. “I don’t like seeing you cry.”

"I know my love, and I'm sorry, I’m sorry for crying and making you sad in the process." I kissed his forehead.

He looked up and studied me carefully.

"Why were you crying, was it because of me?" His small lips curved into a deep frown at the question.

"Goodness no." I shook my head vigorously. “You are never the reason I cry.”

"Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded yes.

"A gazillion per cent sure." I pecked his cheek.

"Sit, let me get you something to eat I bet you are hungry" I told him and walked to the fridge where I moved the stool he had been standing on for him to be able to reach it. Taking out the ingredients I would need for breakfast for the both of us, with Cage’s help, I began to cook. He could never really do a lot around the kitchen but he enjoyed being around and doing the smallest of things such as beating eggs because they made him happy.

-Dash-

It had been two days since I last saw her, and I hadn't been able to leave my room or eat anything; just the thought of her being in my pack disturbed me, and her being my mate and Luna of my pack made it far worse. I thought I had gotten over the anger and every feeling that came with Rosalie Blake but I was wrong, very wrong.

"Dash come out of there!" My father yelled angrily while banging his fist against the locked door. "Stop acting like a fucking child, you are an alpha for fuck’s sake!" He added.

"Dad stops talking to him like that, he'll never come out at this rate!" Penelope yelled agitated.

"Well I'm tired of him acting like a spoilt child-" he retorted.

Tuning everyone’s voices out I tried to focus my thoughts on anything that was not in connection with her, I needed to channel my energy towards anything aside from my disastrous personal life. The second my bottom eyelids came into contact with the top one, a pair of grey orbs flashed through my head, the same eyes I had seen from the boy who kept escaping me.

'That boy', I whispered to myself and smiled, achieving my new goal. I had found something to focus my energy on, and I was not going to rest until I had attained my aim.

I was done mopping over some stupid conniving traitor who probably was not thinking about me as much as I was about her, thoughts of her had been living rent free on my mind and that was something I was no longer going to tolerate, I was no longer the boy she had betrayed, I was now a fully grown man, an alpha and as such, I needed to act like one, my father was right, his delivery was pathetic but he was right, I was no longer a child but an adult and I needed to start acting like it, I needed to start acting like the strong reliable leader people had grown to know and love.

"I need a shower." I mumbled to myself, getting up from the desk, walked into the shower and stripped off every article of clothing that was on my body before stepping under the showerhead and allowing the water to run down my body. I needed to leave my room, if it were up to me, I wouldn’t have left the room, but being an alpha, that was not a luxury I enjoyed.

Finally, after a day of raking my brain for the safest and best way I could catch the boy who had been bothering my subconscious since his eyes met mine, I had come up with the perfect plan. I didn’t know why I had the urge to capture and talk to him. It was unexplainable, and I had concluded that the only reason I was so bothered was that I needed to make sure my pack was not in any danger; for all I knew, he could have been a spy sent by rival packs.

I opened the door to my room and stepped out, completely ignoring the people that had made it their mission to stand at my door every single morning, I made my way down the stairs to the front door.

"Dash, come on bro." Angelo pleaded as he, Penelope, Shaun, and Charlie trailed behind me like lost puppies.

"All of you stop following me and you better not cross my path or it will be the end of you." I commanded in my alpha voice and walked away.

I was over wallowing over Rosalie but I was not over the fact that my own friends, people I considered to basically be my family had lied to me since I got back. It was a stab in the heart, considering they were fully aware of my feelings towards my ex-girlfriend; a heads-up would have been great.

"Alpha where were you??" One of the kids asked excitedly.

"Handling some urgent business." I replied trying to be as nice as I most possibly could. It was clear I was irritated and the slightest little thing or questions were putting me on the edge, I was a ticking bomb waiting to explode if you asked me.

“Pack business or Alpha business?” another quizzed.

“They are both the same thing.” Angelo’s niece rolled her eyes at her friend and I chuckled.

"10 laps around the field." I instructed.

"But why." She pouted.

"Because I'm alpha and you are still on punishment now do as told or I'll extend your punishment." I ordered and everyone started running around the field.

It's almost been an hour and I couldn't spot that kid and that made me feel disappointed.

'Why the fucking hell are you feeling disappointed' I scolded myself mentally not knowing why I cared so damn much.

"You all can go back inside." I told the kids and they let out breaths of relief before running to the pack house.

I was about to also go inside when I heard a scream coming from the woods; I rushed there and there he was, the little boy. I'd been trying so hard to catch him but couldn't seem to. I finally had him but his leg was caught in a bear trap.

"Please remove it, it hurt." He sobbed looking at the bear trap holding his slightly injured bleeding leg and my heart melted.

"I'm so sorry, are you ok?" The words came out before I could even stop them making me curse under my breath. I removed his leg from the trap, which, of course, I had not set; my trap was not at all harmful.

"Sit here." I put him down and offered to clean his wound but he refused. "You can relax, I won't hurt you." I offered him a small yet warm smile that seemed to make him slightly more comfortable because he took a seat on the huge rock behind him.

"Thank you." the boy spoke in barely a whisper as I cleaned the wound that turned out not to be as bad and deep as I had anticipated.

"You welcome, I'm Dash." I introduced myself.

"Cage." He responded with a small smile.

  • The last lycan alpha king    Epilogue

-Dash- Years had flown by quite quickly. The kids had grown and so had the kingdom, everything was going better than we had hoped it would, Cage had even returned from alpha training camp and declared that he was now ready to take over from Penelope, he was set to be coroneted as alpha of Crimson pack in a few hours, that is why we were currently in Crimson pack. “Can you believe it?” I asked Rosalie who stood at the top of the staircase staring at the floor below where Cage and Adira stood making fun of one other. “You startled me.” She huffed calming herself. “Are you ever going to stop sneaking up on me?” “Why would I? Your reaction is always the best part; it never gets old.” I chuckled pecking her cheek. “You're so annoying.” She rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to the kids who were still making fun of each other. “I can’t believe my baby will be leaving soon.” The smile on her face morphed into a frown. “He’ll still be visiting.” I reminded. “It won’t be t

8 years later.-Dash-I hugged Cage before pulling away and patting his shoulder.“You don’t have to get all emotional on me.” He teased making me chuckle.“I’m letting my son go.” I defended myself. “This is a big deal.”“It’s just alpha training and only for a year.” Adira rolled her eyes. "You're acting like he's going to his death."“You’re just jealous I’m getting all the attention.” He removed his tongue and made a face at her.“Can he leave already?” She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, pretending to be annoyed when she was anything but.“Baby, be nice to your brother. He’s leaving, and you’ll have no one to fight with on a daily.” Rosalie pointed out.“I’ll have Daddy, right.” She turned to me with a bright smile.“Yeah, I don’t think so.” I shook my head, making her glare at me; she hated it when I didn't take her side.“But why don’t you want us to accompany you.” Rosalie frowned turning her focus to our son.“Because I’m old enough to take myself mum.” He groaned.

5 years later.-Rosalie-In the space of 5 years, so much had happened; it had been one amazing rollercoaster ride. I had fully healed and spent some time with my parents, allowing myself to get to know them more and also learn to control my witch powers while Dash learned more about his lycan abilities, and when we were both ready, we were crowned as king and queen of the werewolf realm. We moved into the castle, and though it was hard to adjust at first, we got the hang of it. Dash and I never got back together but we still worked together to raise our kids and make the kingdom better. Many subjects were not for the idea of having one person oversee all the packs with the help of alphas, of course, but after seeing how well we ruled and all the improvements we had made in a short space of time, they got on board.“Can you believe it’s already been five years already?” Dash quizzed when snuck behind me and gave me a white tulip.“It feels like it was only yesterday when we moved in he

1 month later…-Rosalie-It had been a rough month from waking up to life-changing information, the coming months were going to be even worse now that I was learning how to manage my witch abilities, still wrapping my head around surviving without my wolf, as well as being a mother of two and a daughter all at the same time.Dash walked in with a crying Adira in his arms and yanked me back to reality.“I think she’s hungry.” He said and placed her in my arms.“Hello, my little angel.” I cooed in a small voice. “It’s OK, don’t cry; mummy is going to feed you now.” With Dash’s help, I unbuttoned my shirt and put my nipple to her mouth, and she wrapped her small lips around it, sucking the milk out as if her life depended on it.My mother and Evita were not in support of the idea of me breastfeeding her so soon, but I protested and won; I had already missed enough moments while I was asleep and wasn't going to continue to.“She’s one angry little girl.” He laughed as he sat at the edge o

-Dash-“Come and say hi,” I told Cage who had just woken up and was standing at the door of Rosalie’s room.Hesitantly, he dragged himself to where I was; he took a minute, frozen in place, just staring at his mother, who was lying on the bed; she had fewer tubes connected to her body after the surgery, and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before taking a seat beside me on the small couch.“Meet your little sister,” I showed her to him. "Adira Kella Kingston."“She’s so small.” He gushed. “And has mummy’s small nose.”He touched her nose, and she moved her little arms and head aggressively, making me laugh.“I’m guessing she doesn’t like that,” I told him.“Mummy doesn’t like it either but I do it anyway.” He shrugged and did it again.I shook my head at him and chuckled. My mother, Loreta, Damon, and Ackerly had gone into town to get some baby stuff while Dorothy and Hugo had gone to get Angelo and the others so it was just Cage and I watching over Rosalie and Adira.“When is mum

-Dash-“Is mummy going to be OK?” Cage asked as we lay on the grass at the edge of the waterfall.“Hmm.” I nodded not sure myself. Before Rosalie’s surgery could even begin Cage woke up because of all the noise so I had to take him away from the house and keep him busy, I couldn't allow him to see what was happening with his mother, he had seen enough while they were in captivity, I was not going to traumatize my son any more than he already was.“When your mother and I were together we would usually skip school and spend the entire day by the waterfall that was nearby.” I smiled at the memory brought to my mind by the sound of the cascading water.“You never tell me how you two met.” He said while leaning into my side."I haven't, have I? I asked and he shook his head no. "Let's change that, shall we," I said and he nodded yes.“It was pretty much love at first sight really.” I closed my eyes reminiscing. “I still remember that day like it was yesterday.”*Flashback*“Dude, I still c
