Erin’s point of viewIt has been so long since I've spoken to Sarah that I decided to ring her up and see if she would like to meet up somewhere for a chat and some and maybe some food. Now that I have Sam working on my team, I can actually give myself some time off, knowing that the stargazer will be fine in his more than capable hands. Besides, I think I deserve a day off, don’t you? We agreed to meet at the little seaside cafe overlooking the docks; it is well known for its freshly caught local fish and seafood; my belly rumbles, and the thought of fish and chips, I can't remember when the last time I had it,Fish and chips covered in salt and vinegar, mmmm, you can’t beat it.Sarah is already there when I arrive, sitting at a small table overlooking the docks; she grins when she sees me before standing up to pull me into a hug as she says, “It’s good to see you, Erin. I've missed you.”I smile as I reply, “Me too, Sarah; I miss our little chats. How is everything with you?”She g
Raul’s point of viewOnce I'm finished with the Dom down at the docks, I head home to check in with Liam to make sure everything is okay with him because tonight is a full moon, and if all is well, I wanted to head through the magic circle. I need to harvest the power soon. The wolves are beginning to lose their strength. I cannot put it off any longer. When I get in, I find Liam in the office.“Hey buddy, how is everything?” I ask“All good, Raul. The circle is all ready for you, and I've left a couple of our best warriors to guard it.”The magic circle has been moved due to Anna following us through last time and we have had it closely guarded, as we're still a little uncertain if Anna is working alone or not, and she still hasn't revealed anything to me through the Alpha Aura. It's beyond frustratingI nod, “Good. I need to harvest the power tonight. We can't afford to put it back anymore.”“I know, buddy, the guys are beginning to lose their strength” he replies “Don't Worry I’m
Raul’s point of viewWhen I reach the tree of power, the moon goddess has blessed us tonight as the tree basks in the light of her full moon, leaving me to harvest the sap surprisingly quickly. I grin as I fill the bottles to the brin, knowing that we have enough power to keep our wolves strong for a long time. When the last bottle is filled, I jump down from the tree, mindful of the wolfsbane scattered around it; I gather all of the bottles, placing them into the sac before turning back into my wolf.Dolph is much quicker than I am, and he's enjoying his run in his native lands tonight. I reach the rest of the warriors at the edge of the valley, and they howl when they see me coming, no doubt feeling the power I have collected from the tree.My leading warrior and head guard grins. “How much have you managed to harvest, Raul? My god, I can feel its power from here,” he says through our mind link.“More than I have ever harvested before”, I reply. It's true I've never seen the tree
Erin’s point of viewI haven't heard from Raul for a few days; Leah tells me he's away on business. I think she knew I was a little upset at first because he never told me but it seemed he got called away urgently and he called to see me first. It was the day that I was out with Sarah, knowing this made me feel a little better but I’m still missing him more than I thought I would, but I’m a big girl and I'm sure I can cope without his handsome face for a few days. That is why the following day I decided to do something fun with Leah. I know she has been working hard at school and equally as hard trying to keep herself out of trouble. I think she deserves a little treat day and now that I have Sam to cover the Star Gazer why not. At the very least it will take my mind off Raul for a few hours. I might even be able to nip into one of the stores and buy myself a little lingerie. I'm sure he will appreciate it when we finally get a repeat of our one night together. I can't help but gri
Erin’s point of viewI begin to panic as Leah loses consciousness; what if she was crushed in the crowd? What if she has internal bleeding? Shit, what should I do?I quickly check her over; she has no wound that I can see, and there is no blood anywhere. I need to get her to the hospital; just as I’m about to pick her up, she opens her eyes and lets out a little whimper, “It's okay, sweetie. I'm just going to get you into my car and get you to the hospital,” I say.“No hospital”, she whispers, “It’s Raul. I need Raul,” She says.Once I know that she's okay and not about to lose consciousness again, I lie her down on the sofa before grabbing my mobile from my bag and dialling Raul’s number, but there is no answer.“Raul, please call me as soon as you get this message. Something is wrong with Leah, and I don't know what to do….call me as soon as you can” I put my phone back on the side before running to grab my first aid box. Her colour seems much better now, and she's not crying out
Liam’s point of viewI wait with the guards at the magic circle, why is it taking so long? Raul is usually pretty quick to harvest the sap, we have never been this long before something must have happened I can feel it, and I begin to pace.I want to jump through the magic circle and find out what's happening but I know that I can't, I can't put Raul and the warriors in any more danger and I can't chance bringing someone dangerous out of the werewolf world and into the human world that would mean disaster for all of us!All we can do is wait, so wait is what we do the clock ticks as the hours pass by, Raul will have lost the moonlight by now and I’m not sure what to do.One of the guards finally calls me over. “Liam come here”“Look at the scroll, something is happening he says” Before handing it to me,The magic scroll glistens in the light and I watch as new words appear it readsLiam, Something has happened on the harvest, your warriors were chased by a pack of unknown wolves and R
Erin’s point of viewI’m lying in my bed, half asleep, when a soft female voice calls out my name over and over again. The voice is somehow familiar, although I can't put a face to the voice. She is asking me to go out of my house…..I follow the voice towards the door.I wake up confused after finding myself standing in front of my front door. A shiver runs down my spine, and I wrap my arms around myself, realising I am wearing just a thin nightgown. What the hell is it with these dreams lately? I grab myself a cup of hot chocolate before heading back to bed. I can't remember when the last time I slept walked. I’m sure it hasn't happened since I was a child. When I wake up the following morning, I let out a groan; my eyes are streaming, my nose is running, and my head is pounding. I am full of a cold. I guess that's what happens when you go late-night sleepwalking in the middle of winter!Later that evening, I’m sitting at the bar in the Star Gazer in a daze and feeling a little but s
Raul’s point of viewI try to open my eyes, not sure what hurts me the most, the pain in my shoulder or the ice-cold running through my body; I pry my eyes open. I am lying on the banks of the river, my head and shoulders out of the water but my legs still in the icy water; my shoulder throbs as I look down at my blood mixing with the river. Dragging myself out of the river, I look around. I need to stop this bleeding. I spot my dry bag hooked on one of the reefs…It's the only chance of survival I have. If I'm going to make it, I have to stop myself from bleeding out. “Fuck”, I curse, the pain unbearable as I force my body to move; I grab one of the strings before pulling the bag back to me, my clothes still dry inside. I change back into my human form; Dolph will not get far with this wound on his leg. I shiver with cold as I tear a piece of cloth from my shirt….I hiss…..as I almost lose consciousness trying to pack the wound, I know I run the risk of infection, but my first prio
