The moment I got back to the pack, one of the warriors stopped me near the gate.

“Alpha wants to see you immediately,” he said, his voice low and uneasy.

My heart skipped.

Why would the Alpha want to see me so early? Did something happen? Did anyone see me with Nora yesterday? My thoughts began to run faster than my legs. I dropped my shirt in my room and went straight to his chamber, trying to calm my nerves.

When I got there, I knocked softly before stepping in. His deep, commanding voice cut through the air before I could even shut the door.

“Where did you drop that good-for-nothing girl?” his voice thundered, cold and sharp like a blade.

I swallowed hard, trying not to show any emotion. “I—I left her in the northern part of the woods,” I replied, my hand quietly shutting the door behind me.

He turned slowly, his piercing eyes meeting mine. “Are you sure about that? I hope she didn’t cross the border.” His tone carried suspicion, the kind that could burn through lies.

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 68

I shut the door behind me and let out a long, shaky breath. A normal, modern door… but somehow even that small noise felt loud in my head.Everything around me feels twisted.Distorted.Unfair.My own world… why is it different? Why does it feel like everything wakes up each morning just to fight me?Why are they tormenting me?I grabbed my water bottle like someone who had been walking through a desert for years and gulped it down so fast it almost choked me.Sophie’s words kept ringing in my head.“My mother…”Who is her mother? Why is everyone talking in riddles? First Raven… now Sophie… witches and their cryptic mouths.Too many questions. No single answer.I sat at the edge of my bed, staring at the ticking clock. It was already 12 p.m., and I hadn’t eaten anything today. My body felt empty, but my mind was heavier than a mountain.I dragged myself into the bathroom. The mirror punished me immediately.I saw the lowest version of myself.Eyes swollen.Skin tired.Soul exhausted.

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 67

Nora POVThe past few days have been draining, confusing, and honestly… terrifying.I have been having the same type of dream over and over again. Not the normal kind of dream where you wake up and forget it after some minutes.No.These ones were heavy, dark, and too real to ignore.Every night, Sophie appeared.Every night, she said something new.Every night, I woke up sweating, shaking, and gasping for air like someone was choking me inside the dream. And the crazy part? The dreams felt more real than the real world. After what happened in Jack’s room, the black smoke, the way I passed out, the way Raven talked in confusion and mystery—I knew something was wrong. But instead of going to see Raven like Jack told me, I kept pushing it aside. I kept telling myself it would fade. I kept pretending nothing was happening. But the truth is…I was scared of what I would hear. And because of that fear, my nights became so bad that I started sneaking into Jack’s room just to sleep.I don’t

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 66

Nora’s POVThe sun was already blazing when I reached the training ground. The air smelled like grass, dust, sweat, and something warm from the morning breeze. Lara stood beside me, laughing at something Leo said, while I stretched my legs slowly, trying to wake my body up.I was still tired from yesterday, my head felt light, my body weak in some parts, but I didn’t want to complain. I didn’t want anyone to think I wasn’t okay. Especially not Jack.“Move your hands higher,” Lara teased, pushing my elbow lightly. “You look like an old woman trying to do yoga.”“Shut up,” I rolled my eyes, stretching harder.Leo laughed. “Both of you talk too much. If Jack comes here and sees this your gossip face, he’ll send you to run around the mountain.”Before I could respond, Leo’s face changed. His eyes shifted toward the entrance of the field.I didn’t need to ask why. I already knew that presence. That quiet tension. That command in the air like the wind obeyed him.Jack.He walked into the tr

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 65

JackMorning came faster than I wanted. The light slipped into the room in a soft gold line across the floor, touching the edge of the bed. I didn’t even move at first. I just lay there and breathed in the scent beside me, warm, soft, sweet… my mate.Nora.She was curled up, her hair scattered on the pillow, her lips slightly parted. She slept like someone who had fought the whole world and finally found a place to rest. And somehow… I felt both proud and guilty as I looked at her.I sat up slowly, pushing the sheets aside, but my eyes never left her.She was so beautiful.Too beautiful.Sometimes it scared me how much I wanted to protect her, hold her, kiss her, keep her close, and at the same time… how much distance I forced between us. It didn’t feel fair. It didn’t feel right. But I kept doing it because I was trying to protect her from things she didn’t understand yet.But the truth?Every time I pulled away from her… a part of me tore inside.Alvin, my wolf, hated it more than m

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 64

The first thing that hit me was the sharp sting of sunlight slashing through the curtains. It stabbed my eyes the moment I forced them open. My head throbbed so badly that it felt like someone was hammering inside my skull. My body? Sore everywhere. My shoulders, my legs, even my fingers felt weak.I groaned and rolled onto my side, hugging the blanket closer. That was when something… strange drifted into my nose. Not the usual scent of my lavender room… no.This was different.A thick, masculine scent of cologne mixed with something herbal. Something deep. Something that didn’t belong in my room at all.I froze. My heart skipped.Slowly, I forced myself to sit up.My eyelashes fluttered as I looked around. The room I was in……was not mine. The walls were a rich cream color with golden patterns touching the edges. A chandelier hung above like something from a royal palace. The bed I was sitting on was larger than mine, so soft that I almost sank into it. And the sheets smelled nothing

  • The luna’s misery   Chapter 63

“Girl, it’s already time. Why are you not dressed up yet?” Lara’s voice rang out as she barged into my room like a whirlwind.I groaned and buried my face into the pillow. I must have drifted off right after she left. My body felt like a sack of stones. My eyes were swollen from lack of sleep, and my mind raced with thoughts I couldn’t control.I wanted to rest just a little more, but the weight in my chest was too heavy to ignore.“I told you, I need sleep. I’m tired,” I muttered, frowning. My voice sounded weak, even to my own ears.Lara rolled her eyes dramatically. “No way. Not now. Stand up and use the bathroom immediately. It’s almost 7 p.m.” She plopped down on the couch with her arms folded.“7 p.m.?” I screamed, eyes snapping open. “You’re joking!”“Yes, Princess Nora,” she teased, sticking her tongue out.I threw the blanket aside. “That’s too much. I slept off this morning!”Lara laughed, “Exactly. You’ve been snoring since breakfast. I could hear you from the hallway!”I h
