CHAPTER 2

  ALPHA ELIJAH'S POV:-

"Alpha Elijah, are you still listening?" I groaned in annoyance as I heard Alpha Marco. He was the Alpha of the pack that lived in Queens. While I was the Alpha of the pack in Brooklyn. My pack was one of the most powerful packs in America.

"Yes! Of course, Alpha Marco, I am still listening to you. When was your pack member attacked last and where?" I responded to Alpha Marco in a flat tone. It was one of the few things I had learned in the last few years, since I became the Alpha. An Alpha should always use a flat tone with a straight face. Too much of anything can become a problem for me or my werewolves.

"The last attack was the last full moon. And it was by the borders of both of our packs. The attacks were interrogated closely by myself and my beloved wife, Marina. It all happens in either Cypress hill cemetery or the evergreen cemetery. If you notice, there is a small path that connects both of our packs. And that path is through both of the cemeteries." Alpha Marco replied in a polite tone. I nodded my head in agreement while looking at the map they had prepared to show me. Along with the evidence to prove their points to me.

"Okay, then. Tonight is a full moon night. And as we all know, we don't have many people to help us. So many of our werewolves are bound in the emergency rooms. But as we are in this together, I think we are enough to take a wild pack down. It is a now and never kind of situation." I replied in a flat tone while looking at the pack members I had brought with me. There were not many. My uncle Gray, who was also a guide for me ever since I became the Alpha. My best friend Denial, who was my right hand. My guide and the wizard of our pack, Gregory and his girlfriend, Lauren, who was also a powerful enchantress.

"Of course, Alpha Elijah. We are in this together. As we have decided, the living wild wolves will be our slaves. If under your pack borders, the slaves will be yours. If under my pack borders, the slaves will be mine. We can try not to have any more casualties than we already had till the last full moon. It is time to put an end to this wild pack madness. After you, Alpha Elijah." Alpha Marco replied to me and I nodded my head in agreement. I stood up and so did my pack. We all went towards the door of the mansion Alpha Marco lived in. Alpha Marco was more of an old fashioned Alpha werewolf. He liked mansions and royalties and all. As for me, I was more of a modern age werewolf.

My name is Alpha Elijah Wilson. I became the Alpha when my father passed me the power before he died. He was a great Alpha. And I was also trying my best to be just like him. I have never known anything about my mother. She left me with my father and ran away. My uncle Grey took care of me and raised me. I hated my mom since I heard how she ran away right after the birth. As if I was a parasite she could not handle at all. I could not help but think this way as she never even looked at my face once. I loved my father but I hated my mother. And I was better off without her.

I hopped into my car and so did my pack. I started the car and drove towards the cemetery. "I don't know but something seems off about that psychotic couple. They are being super nice to all of us. We all know how it all works. I am starting to think if we have to reconsider the options we have and make a new plan maybe. What do you say, Elijah?" Dean, my wolf, asked me in an irritated tone that made me frown in confusion. It was the very first time when he actually asked me to reconsider my options. He was always supportive. He never actually stood in my way.

"Why? What's wrong? Did you see or hear something that was maybe alarming for us?" I asked him in a worried tone. I couldn't help but think there was something that was bothering him. Dean was the coolest wolf anyone could ever ask for. He was not just part of me, he was like a guardian angel for me. We adored each other like brothers. Dean sighed as he heard my questions. He shook his head and I rolled my eyes at him. He could be over dramatic sometimes. And sometimes, he could behave like a toddler.

In no time, we reached the cemetery. As I looked around, I frowned again. Marco almost had his whole pack there. As if they were ready. It made me think about the reason why Dean decided to interrupt me. Alpha Marco nodded his head at me with a smug smile on his face that added more spice to my suspicion. He and his pack started running into the woods around the cemetery to hide.

"I am starting to suspect their super sweet behaviour towards us, Elijah. The look on your face tells me that you are suspecting them as well. Are you sure we are not here to die? He is here with his whole pack. And he told us that they were out of resources. There is something he is hiding from us." My uncle Grey was the one who asked me the same question as Dean. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. Of course I was thinking about that too. But I just could not back away after taking responsibility. I looked around and inhaled deeply.

"It is a cemetery. What else do you all expect to see? We are surrounded by death. Just follow my lead. Make sure no human gets hurt. Try to keep your head down. And if you see anyone from the wild pack, kill them instantly. No questions to be asked. If you get hurt, hide and heal first, then step back into the fight again. Am I clear?" I replied to them all in my usual calm tone. My tone carried authority and dominance of an Alpha. Like I should always behave. And as expected, they all nodded their heads right after I was done talking. A smirk appeared on my face as I turned around.

"Then go and hide in the woods. We have to wait for the cockroaches to come out. Then kill them." I added and ran towards the spot I picked up for myself to hide. Of course, my pack was right behind me. They all hid and waited for my signal. Yes, I could feel what was concerning my pack. But if I backed away after taking responsibility for that problem, I would be called a loser in the Werewolf world. And I just could not afford to stain my father's name. We were known as the bravest alphas of all. How could I ruin the name he had made?
