CHAPTER 1
ARTEMIS' POV:- It was late at night. It was past ten o'clock. I had my bag hanging on my shoulders. I was wearing a summer dress. It was a dark night. Even though the moon was shining brightly in the sky. But the thick grey clouds had surrounded the moon. Blocking its pretty silver shining light. That always lights up the whole world when the sun goes down. "That's it, Missy. Just across these thick woods and dark and horrifically terrible cemeteries, is your home. I know it's dark and I am terrified. But it was just another night when dad bailed on me. And I have to go back home alone. Nothing I have never done before. Let's go." After a little prep talk, I took a deep breath and started walking towards the cemeteries. My name is Artemis Carter. And I lived in Queens. I lived with my dad and his wife. She was not my mom. She can never be. She was a horrible person and I definitely hated her. My biological mother, well, she and my dad divorced when I was five. And my dad got my c

CHAPTER 2
ALPHA ELIJAH'S POV:- "Alpha Elijah, are you still listening?" I groaned in annoyance as I heard Alpha Marco. He was the Alpha of the pack that lived in Queens. While I was the Alpha of the pack in Brooklyn. My pack was one of the most powerful packs in America. "Yes! Of course, Alpha Marco, I am still listening to you. When was your pack member attacked last and where?" I responded to Alpha Marco in a flat tone. It was one of the few things I had learned in the last few years, since I became the Alpha. An Alpha should always use a flat tone with a straight face. Too much of anything can become a problem for me or my werewolves. "The last attack was the last full moon. And it was by the borders of both of our packs. The attacks were interrogated closely by myself and my beloved wife, Marina. It all happens in either Cypress hill cemetery or the evergreen cemetery. If you notice, there is a small path that connects both of our packs. And that path is through both of the cemeterie

CHAPTER 3
ARTEMIS' POV:- How I knew that was a howl, well, as I said before, my mom used to read me stories. Her stories were never a prince and princess story, staring towards their happily ever after. Her stories were always about scary things. Not that scary actually. They used to be around the night fantasy. That was what I used to call it. But she always called her supernatural. Call me superstitious, but I kinda love these stories. They used to make me feel safe and strong too. Those stories were my past and I loved the world my mom had created for me. It was warm and the best place for me to hide. Anyways, as I was telling, from my mom's stories, I knew it was a howl. A howl of a wolf. She used to tell me stories about werewolves too. But are werewolves not wolves as well? They are the same things. Werewolves are not real while wolves are real. The howl was loud enough to scare the hell out of me. I could imagine the size of the wolf that might be in the cemetery. According to my ca

CHAPTER 4
ELIJAH'S POV:- We were hiding and waiting for the wild pack to show itself. I tried to move into the woods. I was quiet and quick. It was until the air carried a scent that was as delicious as the vanilla ice cream. It was so delicious that it made my mouth water. I licked my lips and gulped hard. I closed my eyes and inhaled as deeply as I could. I wanted to fill my lungs with that delicious aroma. It was so intoxicating that I just got lost in an unknown world. I could hear the wild wolves howling and whimpering in pain. But the daze I was in, it did not let me move at all. I stayed rooted to that place, enjoying that amazing aroma. I also heard the wild pack's Alpha howling to the moon. But I did nothing at all. It was until I heard a loud scream that pulled me out of the oceans of my desires. I shifted into my half wolf form and jumped out of the woods. The wild pack's Alpha looked at me and I growled. I saw those wild wolves had a little girl trapped between them. Well, she

CHAPTER 5
ARTEMIS' POV:- I opened my eyes again and found myself lying on the ground. I shivered as the place was so dark and cold. I tried to look around but I was not able to see anything. It was too dark for me. I started sobbing as I stood up and tried to reach the wall or anything I could find. "Help! Somebody, please, help me! There must be a mistake. Please, get me out. I'm afraid of the dark. Please! Somebody help me, please." I yelled as loudly as I could. But no one answered me. I was not sure how I got there. The last thing I remembered was being in an animal fight. I remembered that big black wolf and that oddly looking man. They were fighting with each other. No, it looked like they were actually fighting over me. Then I remembered that that big black wolf bit me. Then I might have passed out because of the pain. It felt like his big teeth pierced through my bones. I tried to feel my skin where he had bitten me. But to my surprise, there was nothing on my body. Not even a scra

CHAPTER 6
ARTEMIS' POV:- "Woah! Woah! Woah!!! Okay wait! You can not be serious! A werewolf! That is just fantasy. Werewolf, vampires, fairies! None of them are real. They don't exist. They don't exist, right?" I replied to Tracy in… a panicked tone if I am being honest. Yes, I was panicking. Like really really panicking. Werewolves, really! She did not have anything else to make fun of me. That was what I thought but I was forgetting the main point. I was actually talking to someone. And I was not sure if I was hallucinating or what. But she was actually responding to me. Call me crazy, but it was happening. Hearing me, she actually started laughing hysterically. Like in a taunting way. As if she was making fun of me because of what I just said to her. "You seriously think that your mom was telling you stories of the fantasy world. Well, let me clear that for you. Werewolves and vampires are real. Fairies, well, I am not sure about them. Because I never met any. But some say they also exi

CHAPTER 7
ARTEMIS' POV:- THREE DAYS LATER:- I was lying on the cold and dusty ground. It had been three days since I was locked up in a dungeon. The maids had tried to give me some chicken to eat. But every single time, a tall bitch came and scolded the maids who tried to give me something I could eat. To save myself from any allergic reactions, I decided to starve instead of eating something that was sort of a poison for me. I had no idea how I managed to open my eyes again. I didn't even have the strength to open my eyes. The plates full of boiled moong dal were set on the ground. They were rotting inside the cell I was in. But no one took it away. I knew I couldn't eat moong dal. It nearly killed me when I was seven years old. Jenny learned from my father that I was allergic to moong dal. And she specifically cooked it for me. When I refused to eat, she forcefully stuffed it into my mouth and covered my mouth and my nose with her palms tightly so I wouldn't be able to breathe. I was a

CHAPTER 8
THIRD PERSON'S POV:- The darkness surrounded Tracy as she kept on asking Artemis to stay awake. She tried to heal Artemis but it was too late. "Mom! Please forgive me." That's what Tracy heard before the darkness surrounded her. Tracy saw the whole world being swallowed by the darkness. She knew she didn't have any more time. She wanted to wait until the full moon. As their powers were at its peak on the night of the full moon. But fate had something else in store for both Tracy and Artemis. Tracy started taking over the weak body of Artemis. Artemis' eyes flung open as she felt an unbearable pain in her body. That pain brought her back to life. She wanted to scream but her blocked throat didn't even let her moan. Her bones started cracking and readjusting themselves. Silver fur started covering Artemis' whole body. Her teeth turned into fangs. Her fingers were changed into paws and her nails shifted into fragile but deadly claws. Her clothes ripped off of her body. As Tracy fina

CHAPTER 9
ARTEMIS' POV:- I opened my eyes again and looked around. I was lying on a long sized bed. My arms were cuffed with the headboard of the bed. I looked down at my body that was naked, as I last remembered. I was practically not naked anymore. There was a thin piece of clothing covering my body. If it's how it was explained. There was a sexy nightie on my body. Lacy red fabric that barely covered my skin. The neck of the nightie was low. Low enough that my left boob popped out as I wiggled to free myself. I could feel that thin strap that was covering my private parts. It wouldn't be right if I called it panty. I knew as my legs were also tied with the other two corners of the bed. My legs were wide open. Except for that thin layer of lacy fabric on my body, I was practically naked. I was thankful that the room was covered with thick curtains. Although I was not sure where I was. I couldn't help but think if people could see me through the windows. "Tracy! What's happening? Where ar

CHAPTER 10
ELIJAH'S POV:- It was raining outside. For some reason, my wolf, Dean, was not talking to me at all. He was pretty mad at me ever since I was not able to find her. It had already been a month. The full moon was getting closer. I was sure that she would soon be turning into a werewolf. Although there was a fact that she would have died or murdered, as she was bitten. Anyone would have thought that the wild wolf might have bitten her. For some reason, I was the one who bit her. No matter how I tried to find any sort of justification, I couldn't find any. I actually bit her for no reason at all. And I crossed a boundary that I had set myself. I was not even sure why I was wandering around, looking for her. The fact that I bit someone without their consent and was searching for her after everything I did. I had no idea how I was going to explain to my pack why I was looking for her all this long. I didn't tell anyone anything. But I was sure that some of them might have figured out b
