Charles' expression turned sympathetic as he looked at Stella. "I know it's hard, Stella. But you can't give up. You need to keep trying, keep reaching out. He's still in there, I'm sure of it."

Stella nodded, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "You think so, Charles? You think he can still change?"

Charles smiled reassuringly. "I'm positive, Stella. David just needs a little guidance, and I'm happy to help."
