Chapter 20 - Pick a side

“Hey.” Michael says walking up to the booth at the back of Jerry’s. I finished my shift thirty minutes ago. And when he texted me to meet up, I figured it made sense we meet here. I’m too tired to go anywhere else but home so I didn’t bother making plans to meet anywhere else.

“Hi.” I say looking up at hi. He moves closer giving me a kiss, when our lips touch I get the same warm feeling I got the first time we kissed. He sits next to me looking me at me.  I guess I still like him but there are so many distractions, I don’t know how I feel sometimes.

“How are you?” He says smiling at me sweetly. His smile is still beautiful and charming. He really is a very handsome man.

“I’m tired.” I say smiling back at him, I always find his smile hard to resist.

“I can tell you’re tired.” He says touching my face so softly, it makes me close my eyes.
