I knew exactly what I was doing when I gave Alice the necklace. Thank God her pack was as open minded as mine was, so getting to a witch was not that difficult. The hardest part was to explain why I would need the necklace to contain my smell, so I had to come up with a story.

As my Beta so kindly reminded me, Alice would be a target of every Alpha male desires tonight if she did not have a smell of a male on her, or a mate mark that would let everyone know she was off the market.

Since she was not willing to accept me yet as her mate, my only other option was to make sure she was cowered with my smell. At first, I could not think of any idea but than it just clicked while I was walking around the castle and stumbled upon witches’ wing. So, I ran to the nearby market and bought a necklace that had stones the same color as her eyes were so I knew she would find it hard to resist. And since I was her mate, she would not find it weird that she smelled me as long as I was the o
