Mrs. Harris gave a sad smile before continuing, her voice filled with an almost maternal tenderness.

“You’ve never been an aggressive omega. I know that. You’ve always been able to control yourself, even when you were younger. But last night… your pheromones escaped, didn’t they?” Ryse nodded, flustered.

“I… I don’t understand how it happened.” The matriarch sighed softly.

“It’s natural, you know? An omega can’t always control everything, especially when in the presence of an alpha they’ve known for a long time.” Ryse looked away, uncomfortable.

“Except Nigel didn’t recognize me…” she murmured. A silence fell.

Then, Mrs. Harris continued gently:

“When you were little… he liked your scent.” “…” Ryse looked up, stunned.

“What?” A faint, nostalgic smile played on Mrs. Harris’s lips.

“You might not remember, but Nigel spent all his time with you. He almost thought of you as a little sister. When your body first started releasing pheromones, he was curious, intrigued. He found your scent comforting.” Ryse froze, unable to say anything.

“I thought it would be the same today,” Mrs. Harris whispered. “That, even after all these years, his instinct would guide him to you, just like before.” But it hadn’t happened. Instead of being drawn to her, Nigel had rejected her. Ryse felt a weight settle on her chest.

“But he’s not the same Nigel anymore,” Mrs. Harris finally admitted, her eyes clouding with sadness. She squeezed Ryse's hand lightly, as if to apologize.

"Something about him has changed. Something I don't understand yet. But what I do know is that your pheromones shouldn't have escaped like that." Ryse felt her stomach clench.

"I didn't mean to... I didn't try to..." "I know, darling," Mrs. Harris interrupted gently. "But Nigel and Eloise don't see it that way. They think you did it on purpose." Ryse's heart skipped a beat. So that was it. They were really accusing her. She lowered her head, a wave of despair washing over her.

"What... what am I going to do?" she whispered. Mrs. Harris looked at her for a long moment before standing, smoothing the wrinkles in her dress. “For now, just avoid Nigel. Give him some time.” Then she headed for the door, but before leaving, she stopped and turned around one last time.

“Don’t doubt yourself, Ryse. You haven’t done anything wrong.” And with that, she left, leaving Ryse alone with her torment.

The floorboards creaked softly under Ryse's light footsteps as she descended the service stairs to the kitchens. The scent of fresh bread and coffee already hung in the air, mingling with the sweet aroma of jams and the more pronounced scent of eggs cooking. As she stepped into the large, bustling kitchen, she was immediately greeted by the familiar hubbub of maids hard at work. Mary, a woman with round cheeks and an apron covered in flour, looked up as she entered. "Ah, Ryse! You're just in time. Grab that tray and go set the cutlery on the large table." Ryse did so without hesitation, deftly grasping the tray piled high with dishes and folded napkins.

"So, are you excited?" Lorna, a young maid with brown hair tied back in a tight braid, called out suddenly. Ryse turned to her, raising an eyebrow.

"Excited about what?" Lorna rolled her eyes as she placed a basket of pastries on the counter. The clinking of cutlery, the sizzle of butter in the pan, and the aroma of coffee filled the kitchen, creating a warm and familiar atmosphere. Ryse busied herself with the other maids, placing the cutlery on a polished wooden tray.

"So, have you seen him?" Lorna asked suddenly, giving her a sidelong glance.

Ryse paused, looking up at her friend.

"Who?" she said, feigning ignorance.

Lorna rolled her eyes.

"Don't play that game with me, Ryse. Nigel, of course! He arrived last night, and the whole manor has been buzzing ever since." Ryse discreetly clasped her hands around the tray. She hadn't had the chance to really see him. Or rather, she hadn't dared. After all, Nigel hadn't given her a single glance, not a second glance, as if she didn't exist. So why should she be eager to see him again?

"Oh, he's incredibly handsome!" Anna exclaimed, clasping her hands under her chin. "Tall, imposing... and his alpha aura is even stronger than before. You can feel his authority just by walking into the same room as him!" Ryse forced a smile, but simply nodded without adding anything.

"And what about his fiancée?" another maid asked.

Lorna sighed.

"A real beauty. Brunette, elegant, refined... Exactly what you'd expect from a future lady of the house." Anna nodded enthusiastically.

"She's also very kind." She thanked every maid who had helped her last night.” Ryse didn’t need to hear anything more. Nigel had returned, accompanied by a perfect woman, befitting his station. It was none of her business.

So why was this strange weight settling in her chest?

“Well, enough talk!” Mary declared, clapping her hands. “Ryse, bring this tray into the dining room before the coffee gets cold.” Ryse nodded and did so, trying to ignore the curious feeling of unease that was growing within her. Balanced in her hands, Ryse walked confidently into the main dining room. The polished parquet floor reflected the soft morning light, casting golden glimmers on the walls adorned with antique paintings. Around the large mahogany table, three figures were seated: Mrs. Harris, dignified and elegant in her midnight blue dress, Nigel, whose imposing presence filled the room despite his silence, and finally Eloise, whose light smile contrasted with the aura of tension that floated around them.

She turned toward the window, watching the sunbeams filter through the curtains. There was something calm, almost serene, about the soft light that bathed the room. But within her, nothing was serene. There was no calm, no peace. There was only uncertainty, frustration, and above all, a profound sadness. She wasn't preparing for a happy moment, a family moment. No, she was preparing for yet another ordeal. An ordeal with this man who, deep down, was perhaps never truly there for her. And that thought stabbed her like a cold blade. The next morning arrived faster than she had imagined. At the appointed time, she dressed hurriedly, trying to conceal her emotions behind a mask of calm. The morning sun bathed the courtyard in soft light, a stark contrast to the invisible tensions hanging in the air. The black car pulled up in front of the house. Ryse, who had been sitting in the living room since dawn, could already feel her heart racing. She knew this day was important: the three-month u

Nigel froze, surprised, and stepped back slightly, a look of confusion creeping across his face. He wasn't used to her reacting like this. She was always affectionate, always ready to support him, even after their arguments. But now, something was different. The air between them was becoming colder, more tense."Eloise... what's wrong?" he asked, his voice betraying the beginnings of anxiety. "Why are you acting like this?"Eloise stood up slowly, crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive gesture. She looked him up and down, her eyes shining with frustration."You don't understand, do you? I know what you're doing, Nigel. I know how you feel about her, that... omega. You haven't stopped avoiding me since you brought her into this house." And don't tell me it's not true, that you're not attracted to her, because I can see perfectly well how you're acting.Nigel's heart raced at these words. Eloise knew. She knew everything. He had thought he could hide his emotions, keep it all t

“It’s easy for you, isn’t it? To control everything? To decide what’s right and what’s wrong? But do you really think I’m going to just sit here and shut up and accept everything you tell me? The truth is, you’re manipulating me just like you manipulate everyone else. And I’m not going to be your plaything, Nigel,” she said, her voice growing increasingly firm.He straightened slowly, and for a moment, he seemed to hesitate. But his anger quickly took over, and he moved even closer to her, almost facing her like a predator.“Don’t talk like that. You don’t know anything about me, Ryse. Not a thing. And I don’t have to justify myself to you,” he added, lowering his eyes, his voice becoming harsher. The words he spoke were sharp, like well-honed knives. Ryse felt a sharp pain, but she pushed it away. She knew all he wanted was to dominate her, humiliate her, make her feel inferior. But she wouldn't let him."You don't have to speak to me like that, Nigel. And I'm not going to stand here

The housekeeper, ever so devoted, looked up from her work when he entered. She seemed to have been expecting his return.“Mr. Harris, are you all right?” she asked, her gaze scrutinizing his tense features, as if she could sense his state of mind.He nodded, though his expression was far from convincing. He had no desire to talk about what had just happened. No desire to share his discomfort with anyone else. He wasn’t even sure he could look at himself in a mirror at that moment.“Yes, everything’s fine,” he replied in an almost monotone voice, before sitting down on one of the gray velvet sofas. He exhaled deeply, trying to collect his thoughts. This was no time to let guilt or confusion overwhelm him. He was a man of action. An alpha, a leader. He had made his decisions, and whatever happened, he had to face the consequences. And Ryse… She would eventually accept her place. It was only a matter of time. He had resigned himself to it. He had never chosen this situation, but he had t

A wave of vaginal fluid gushed from Ryse's vagina, spreading across Nigel's satisfied face as he reaped his reward. When he finished, he sat up, towering over her. He watched her, awestruck by the sheer pleasure he alone was responsible for. Ryse saw pride and satisfaction in his eyes. Silently, she ran her limp hand over his chest, slowly tracing his abs before stopping at the hem of his black boxer shorts, where she could easily admire a huge bulge hardened by desire and arousal.A few moments later, he moved away from her, got out of bed, and pulled off his underwear. His erect penis sprang free. Propped up on her elbows, she gazed at him hungryly, running her impatient tongue over her lower lip."What do you want now?" “I want you. Nigel. Only you,” she said, her eyes clouded with desire. With his large, strong hands, he then brought his pelvis closer to his erect penis, which he held firmly in his hand. Gently, he began to insert it into her opening, but her breath caught in her

She placed the camera back on the table and got up to go into her garden. She wanted to enjoy this little corner of paradise, even though, deep down, she knew it was just a gilded cage. The sun was slowly setting, painting the sky a golden hue, as Nigel finally arrived home. The morning air had given way to a heavy heat, but it was the coolness of the garden, seemingly cut off from the rest of the world, that welcomed Ryse, sitting quietly on the bench under the cherry tree. Her eyes were closed, absorbed by the sweet fragrance of the blossoms that filled the air, but it only took her a moment to sense the car approaching. The driver parked near the entrance, and Nigel got out without a word, observing the garden, his eyes briefly resting on Ryse before looking away. He had never really liked this place, but he was forced to admit that the transformation was almost perfect. The garden seemed to offer Ryse a freedom she would never have had in the main house. He wasn't free, but he did
