Chapter 2.

Charles was the only heir to his father's Empire, he was going to inherit everything after his father was gone, though for now he was already working as a director in one of the companies his father has and he was doing very well that they added two more companies to the company he was to direct, the work load was much for Charles that he really didn't have time for outdoors.  His friend Andre was the only one who adds spice to his boring life, Andre also works with him, he is the company's advert manager,. He needs not be told about what he is to do, he was so good that the company increased unpopularity within months,. Charles made Andre his personal assistant to help him plan ahead but Andrew would always want them to hand out.

"All work and no play makes Charles a full boy"  was usually his response whenever he was trying to get them to avoid work, but when it comes to being serious with work, Andre was a wizard, he plans and execute Contract that just being the advert manager for Peterson  Enterprise was no longer enough, he had to be the assistant director.

It was on one of their hangouts that Andre  had  sighted Sandra and shown her to Charles who also thought she was beautiful but wasn't interested in looking further, but Andre invited Sandra to sit with them and that was it, Andre started pestering him to take Sandra seriously that she was a good girl, what Andre saw in Sandra was still unknown to him but he wasn't interested in finding out now, since they were now engaged, he could atleast allow him rest.

His father Peterson was on his neck to get a wife, he wanted his only son to get married, thy were in Africa and there was no way his daughters would be left to run his Empire, he was going to establish them but they belonged to another man and they would help another man build his Empire.

"Father, we are going to get married, I thought you and mother should be the first to know"

Charles said as he held Sandra's hands tight, not sure of what his father's reaction would be, since he started dating Sandra, his father had been acting strangely, he was always watching especially whenever they visited, it seems as though he wanted to understand Sandra more before giving his blessings, though he never told him he didn't approve of Sandra he just didn't show his approval, unlike the way he had shown when he brought him the daughter of Senator Sabo. His father had wished for him to get married to Samantha, he believed that she was wealthy and from a respectable home, he further believed it would alone their networth and help the family get richer and assurance but both Charles and Samantha were not interested to even think about it.

"Wow, that is a wonderful news"

He finally said after a long silence, he said it was a wonderful news but his face was saying it was  a bad idea, Charles didn't know what to make of his father but he understood even his silence, he probably has things to say to him but he  wanted them to be alone before he air his view.

Sandra was so happy that her would be father in-law didn't disapprove. She too wasn't sure what to make of the man, he was always strange, one could never read him, but for the first time she saw him smile so she believed it was just his own way of doing things and reacting to things, she rushed towards the old man and hugged him, he nodded his head and tapped her back before saying 'welcome my child.
