Chapter Forty

After that day, Naevia and Zane's relationship became better. They became closer than ever over the days that ran by. They didn't hesitate to help one another with something.

Naevia no longer saw Zane as a stranger, but a friend and husband. All the traces of the husband she has always wanted could be seen in Zane now.

Her feelings for him changed. She now had butterflies that fluttered in her stomach whenever she laid her eyes on him.

Back then, Naevia would try to hide how she was feeling around Zane. Then, she couldn't tell how she was feeling around him, but now she does.

Friday morning, Zane woke up early and left the mansion for work. Naevia had wanted to wake up early that day to get him food to take along, but she overslept.
