Chapter thirty one

 The ambulance made it early to the scene after being called by a good Samaritan who lived close by.

Police sirens also screaming loudly into the night.

Mrs Romero watched Adriana being carted away in a gurney for treatment as the police questioned her about the accident.

She explained to the detail what happened to blame Walter for being reckless.

Just then she remembered Walter.

She turned to the mangled vehicle to see Firemen trying to get Walter out.

"Were you also involved in the accident?" The policeman asked.

"I was in the car." She rudely retorted wondering why he would ask such a dumb question.

"Then you better get a checkup."

Mrs Romero took the officer's advice and joined the ambulance before it left.

The vehicle took no time in getting to the hospital. Walter and Adriana's lookalike were rushed to the emergency ward.

Ema is immediately hurried to the room prepared for her.
