Betrayed. Broken. Hunted. Maera was once the Luna of a powerful Alpha—until the mate she trusted led her into a brutal ambush that cost her everything. Left for dead, betrayed by blood and bond, she rises from the ashes of her former life and flees across hostile lands, chased by death and haunted by pain. She stumbles into the forbidden territory of Vargthorn—a kingdom ruled not by one, but three Lycan Kings. Cold-eyes Korran, fiercely loyal Zarek, and the mystic Fenrik have carved out a world untouched by outsiders. And yet, something in Maera calls to them… and something in them answers. Taken in as a maid, Maera hides her scars behind obedience—until desire burns, and fate refuses to be silenced. But love is not the only thing awakening. Maera carries a legacy hidden in her blood—one tied to a prophecy the Lycan Kings were born to fulfil. Their bond could be the key to ending an ancient curse… or the spark that triggers a new war. As enemies close in and a dark queen rises, Maera must face her past, embrace her power, and choose whether to let vengeance consume her—or become the Luna the realm has waited for.

“Congrats Maera, you're carrying the Alpha's pub,” the pack's witch told me.
Asta was the witch of our pack. Ulfsang(Wolf Song) was a small pack of shifters that lived on the northern side of the realm. She was called a witch because people believed she could cast spells and turn people into squirrels.
But for me, she had been my messiah. For five years after being married to the Alpha, I had been unable to produce an heir. Now fate had smiled down on me. I was pregnant, certain a sacrifice would be made to the goddess. Mostly I wanted to see the look on my Alpha's face. The excitement. I had already imagined it.
“Oh Asta, you are a real-life saviour,” I responded. “How can I ever repay you?”
“You can start by taking the good news to Alpha Derek,” She replied.
“Of course,” I responded, my heart gleaming with joy. I got up and took the little belongings I had brought with me to the witch's hut and left for Derek's chambers.
I had found him pacing about in his room. His hair was scattered from the consistent running of his fingers through them. Something had greatly disturbed him. Part of me had known he was in pressure for an heir. The pack demanded one, or he stood a chance of getting his status ripped off of him.
But all that was about to change. I had brought news that would change the entire story.
“My love, I have good news,” I said, trying to get his attention. He glanced at me, unphased by what I had just said.
“What is it?” He said, his voice sore like he knew the message I was about to pass on. I paid no heed to his tone. I was about to change it.
“I'm pregnant with your pub,” I said, smiling ear to ear.
“I have no time for games, woman,” he responded, cutting the air with his husky voice.
“I'm not playing games,” I replied. “Asta herself confirmed it.”
Suddenly his face changed. It was like he was disappointed. Then he brightened up.
“That's good news,” he said.
For a second I could breathe. I had thought he was disappointed in the pregnancy, but his smile suggested something different.
“We should celebrate, my love,” I responded. “I'm certain the rest of the pack would be pleased to hear this information.”
“Emm.. we should hold off on that information for now,” he said.
“Hold off?” I responded, unsure of what he meant by that.
“Emm.. you know, you've only just confirmed it from Asta. I say we wait until a bump shows, then we tell the rest of the pack,” he replied.
“But..”
“I have good reasons for it, my love,” he said, cutting me short. “I say we celebrate, just me and you. How about we go running through the woods. Let's have our wolves enjoy the good news.”
A run through the woods had a nice touch to it. Only fated mates ever did go running together in their wolf form, howling at the greyish-white moon.
Derek and I were not fated mates. As a daughter of the Beta to the former Alpha of this pack, a marriage had been arranged between my father and his father, just before the last war with a rival pack had claimed their lives, leaving me with my stepmother.
Derek had loved me no less than he would, a fated mate. As a matter of fact, he had treated me more than my parents could ever. He had given me a home and loved me through my barren years. He had given me the satisfaction I craved for.
Passing up the opportunity to go howling at the moon together was not on my agenda.
“Wait for me while I pass an important piece of information to Heimdall,” he said. “I'll be back soon, my love.”
I waited patiently, anticipating the wild run. The breeze brushed against our furs. His pleasant scent blew against the air. It was more than I had ever dreamed of.
He came back commanding me to shift to my wolf, which I gladly obeyed like a child taunted with milk from the mother's breast.
He shifted almost immediately as we sprinted off into the night. It was just as I imagined it, only it felt more alive than my thoughts. I embraced his amazing smell, thinking of all the wild things we would do this night, together.
I would suck his cock till it fell off. “Oh Freya,” I exclaimed. I had loved him, more than I would, myself.
But something had gone wrong. We had run into another wolf's territory. But he hadn't stopped, so I followed him. We ran straight to the top of a cliff. Then we stopped.
I was scared because we had crossed the borders to another wolf's pack. But his presence had made me calm. I felt secure near him.
“Emm.. Derek, why are we in another wolf's territory?” I asked. He gave me no reply as he ordered for me to shift back. I did as he had instructed. I shifted back to myself, staring down at his wolf, wondering why he hadn't shifted too.
Then he let out a fierce howl. The sound cut through my ears. I wondered why he had done such, why he would want to let others know our exact location.
Before I could question him, wolves came in all directions, knocking me down to the floor, raking their claws and sinking their teeth into my flesh.
I tried to scream, but I could not. All parts of me were torn to bits. Then they stopped. The searing bites and slash had drowned out all my thoughts. My bone crunching sent a tremendous amount of pain through my body. It was like I was being pierced by a thousand needles, all at once.
My jaws had been ripped open, leaving me no medium of expressing my pains vocally. Then, I could feel Derek's wolf close in on me as he went straight for my stomach.
His teeth sank through the flesh on my stomach, ripping and pulling them apart as he sent his head further into my stomach. I tried to fight him off, but the damage done to my hands made it impossible for me to even lift them.
I lay still, watching, feeling his wolf rip my stomach apart. The only thoughts I had at that moment were for the safety of my pub and why he had done what he had just done.
Then he stopped when he felt he had done enough damage, as he shifted back to himself.
“You ingrate,” he said, his voice cold as death itself. “I gave you everything, my happiness included, but still, you went further to trap me in this unforgiven marriage.”
He continued. “Haven't I done enough for you? I was given five years, that if you could not conceive I would be allowed to get rid of you forever. I would be allowed to be with my fated mate. But you had to plan with that witch to trap me.”
“I've always disliked you, and now, I detest you even more. You are a pest to my life. Good thing you came to me before telling others. I will deal with that witch myself,” he ended.
Tears poured out of my eyes uncontrollably. I managed to bring my hands up to my stomach but could feel nothing in an open space.
“My pub,” I thought to myself, my head thumping heavily.
And with one final kick to my stomach, he sent me falling off the cliff, as my body came battering to the ground. I had passed out, not knowing if I was dead or alive.
MaeraMy eyes lifted slowly as my vision settled on the figure towering above me. His scent wafted towards me—cold and rotten.“We are one step closer to harnessing the power of the sun,” he said to the other standing in front of him, with his back facing my direction. “We have the wolf's Blood Witch!”“It's useless without one of their hearts,” the other vampire said to the figure in front of me. “Let's hope Shakar comes through.”I grunted at the pain of my skull hammering against my brain. The room became lighter as I scanned my surroundings to get to know where exactly I was.High-stone walls with minimal space. Iron bars in front of me and a small opening by the side, enough to see what was going on at the other side.I was being held in a prison, with my enslavers standing in front of me. They turned when they noticed I was struggling to raise myself up. “Awake so soon,” one of them teased with a smirk on his face.Swiftly, his face contorted, displaying his fangs before me wit
FenrikBlood spilt over the velvet curtains and antique stone walls. Alaric's wife stepped forth, screaming and crying as she rushed down to her dead husband's body, head severed from the rest.I wasted no time. I wrapped my hand around her head and crushed it. Her brain spilt on the floor close enough to that of her husband's severed head.Korran and I bolted out of the house, making our way into the village. We stopped when her scent hit the back of our nostrils. It wasn't just hers, but that of Leora also. They led down the woods. We shifted when the scents of vampires hit our nostrils, and a dead corpse—the Alpha's daughter. But Meara's scent lingered by. It was strong like they had left a few minutes ago.At some point, we lost her scent, masked with dust matter, capable of neutralising a wolf scent. This enraged Korran. We had to split up to cover more ground.Korran went to higher grounds to recover her scent while I continued down the woods to the main river. There I picked it
FenrikI sat still as she stood in complete defiance of my brother, Korran. There was something about her, one I could not exactly wrap my fingers around. Most of all was that intoxicating chocolate scent she gave off. It wrapped itself around me, pulsing the magic from within my veins. I had never felt such raw power coursing through me before. It magnified itself, especially when she's within range, or our skin is contacting itself. She was like a puzzle, difficult to unlock, no matter how hard I tried. Her essence kept creeping all over me, radiating itself like silver moonlight. And there, were the dreams. The visions. The nightmares. My head pounding as I awoke the next day.My brother bleeding all over the floor. Blood on my hands. Meara and Zarek kneeled down beside him with her chanting some kind of spell.Ever since her first touch, my body had never been the same. They reacted to her presence whenever she was in danger.I had sensed her distress in the woods when the wolve
Maera“Why are you doing this?” I questioned. “What do you want from me?” Blood dripped down my shoulders from where I had crashed. I had broken a rib or two, and it hurt like hell.“What I want is for my sister to be brought back to me,” she replied with a sharp tone. “And if it means giving you in exchange for her, then so be it.”Immediately I shifted and pounced away, but I hadn't gotten far when I felt the paws of another wolf on me, fierce and strong. It was Leora's wolf, bigger than Astari's. She raked her claws on my fur, biting down hard on my hide. I screamed and tried to shrug her off, but I could not. She was too powerful.“Change back to your human form, or I won't stop my attack!” She commanded. I did as she asked. The pain was becoming unbearable. My limbs felt stiff. My back felt like it had been pressed against molten magma.I shifted back to myself to save myself from her relentless attack, hoping Lord Korran or Fenrik would have noticed my absence by now.I regret
Maera“What?” I gasped at the thoughts of undressing in front of the Lycans. Lucky for me there had been two bathtubs divided by a blind.I took the second one, shielded from the others. The warm waters were inviting, they drove away the cold air that had settled on my skin. When I stepped out from the bathtub, Lord korran and Fenrik were already on the bed, with only a little space left in the middle. Judging from my size I was a perfect fit.I wore my little nighties I had brought with no undies and joined them in bed, squeezing myself so I refrained from coming in contact with them. The first touch came from Lord Korran. His right thigh crossed over mine as he wrapped his hand around my stomach pulling me closer to himself. I let out a little gasp as his hot rod pressed firmly on my ass. He moved his hand from my stomach to my breast as he wrapped them all over.“Lord korran,” I muttered, my breath under the sheets. Immediately Lord Fenrik scooped me over to his side. His immedi
MaeraVargthorn was in lockdown. The Lycans searched but could not find a sign of any vampire present. They doubled the guards at each entrance to the castle, nothing moved without their notice or consent. Days passed without any action. The castle remained calm. No sign of a Velkrin or the presence of a vampire. Suddenly, I was ordered into Lord Korran's chamber. “Get a few of your things, Maera, we are going for a little trip,” Korran said.“Travel?” I questioned. “To where?”“We are going to visit the Alpha of a neighbouring pack,” he replied. “Fenrik and I. You’ll accompany us. Zarek will remain here. The castle needs a guardian.”I did as told. I gathered a few of my things, clothes mostly. Lord Korran had made it clear we would be spending a few days away from the castle.I took both Lord Korran's and Fenrik’s luggage down to the carriage. Lord Zarek only threw a gaze at me but said nothing. The Lycans whispered something to each other, and part of their conversation ended w
