ALINA'S POV

The silence in the car was so deafening, I could hear it screaming in my ears. “I would need your address, Miss Alina,” Anders finally broke the ice. Maybe it was my imagination, but I felt Theodore go a little stiff at the mention of that. Why? Nonetheless, he didn't stop digging holes into my head with his gaze. Dear God, I had only ever asked for one thing. To not let me ever be discovered by Theodore Maxwell again. Yet you did it. Why? What did I even do to deserve this?
