Gambling Deer

Rose left the Lady before the evening. She took the chance to take a fresh breath of air for herself. Sauntering outside and around the hallways, she kept her eyes on the paintings on the walls.

It was an oil painting of all the family members of the duchy. Rose saw the lady standing beside the duke. The duke had the same exact expression as he did in the supper earlier where his face showed no emotions. There was the younger brother and from the features, she guessed the picture was made not long ago.

There were more portrait of the family but Dominic was not in the portrait which intrigued Rose. It was a family picture and yet as if he wasn't a part of the family, Dominic wasn't anywhere in the portrait.

Rose continued to look over the portraits, wondering which wall have what and if it was possible to find a single portrait of Dominic.
