Ethan and Chrystyn went out of the clinic when it was already dark. Sure, there were evening classes, but at this time, it would be hard for them to be recognized, and only a few people were lurking around.
“Thanks a lot for letting us stay here,” Ethan said as he got his bag.
“It’s alright. Your nose is bleeding anyway, and your reason for staying here is valid. Take care, both of you,” said the nurse.
Chrystyn patted Ethan in the back, and she smiled at the nurse, mouthing thank you.
As they closed the door, they looked left and right, seeing if someone would recognize them.
“How did you even get my bag here, anyway?” Ethan asked.
Chrystyn answered, “I sneak out on the room when there’s already no one in there. I asked the janitor to open the room.”
