Dante's peaceful sleep was disrupted by a itch on his forehead. It felt as if a fly was walking on his forehead. He opened his eyes, pissed. He scratched his head but didn't find any fly. It was just his hair. A sharp pain hit his head as he sat up. His head throbbed so painfully that he groaned, supporting his head with his palm. He looked around, finally noticing the unfamiliar surrounding.
"What the hell?"
He looked down at himself. He is clad in an oversized shirt and a pair of briefs. He instantly panicked. He had no idea how he got here and why. In the course of rushing out of the bed, he fell face flat on the ground. He had no idea the bedframe was high.
"Ouch!" He groaned, rubbing his hurting nose. He got off the floor and proceeded to the door. Wherever this place is, he needs to get out if it. He exited the room and searched a way out but he ended up going in circles. He got lost in the fortress. Dante is getting irritated. He came across almost five kitchens on his futile search for a front door.
He reached a large bronze door. He opened it and finally, Dante got outside. Though, it's the back of the house he's still glad he got out. He forgot his purpose for coming outside in the first place when he got a good look at the place. The spectacular view mesmerized him. He was so distracted, he didn't notice Sebastian standing behind him. It was when he turned and his head hit Sebastian's chest that he finally got aware of his presence.
Dante, again, almost got distracted. By Sebastian's cologne this time.
"I can see you're awake." Sebastian's glanced at Dante's bare feet, "why are you barefooted?"
Dante looked down. He had no idea until now. "I...I tried to find a way out of here but I got lost and ended up here." He explained, wondering how he got to Sebastian's house in the first place.
"How...how did I get here?" He inquired. Sebastian tilted his head sideways. Is he pretending not to know? He studied Dante's face. He looked genuinely confused so Sebastian erased his doubts.
"You got drunk and I happened to...
"Drunk?!" Dante exclaimed and Seb nodded.
"I happened to be with you so I brought you here."
Dante panicked. He knows he's always a mess whenever he gets drunk. He does the craziest things. Not to mention his increased libido when he's intoxicated. I couldn't have done anything to him right? Did I harass him in any way? He got embarrassed at the thought of him trying to get down with Sebastian.
"I...I didn't...did I do something wrong to you last night?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers, hoping he hears a "no" as answer from Sebastian. Sebastian hummed in thought. Dante's anxious face made Seb itch to tease him. Sebastian's mind flashed back to the night. Dante did really absurd things. Talk about his cries and wails for no absolute reason, he sang like a psycho on their drive home. Sebastian has never seen a person as crazy as Dante. They've not gotten in the house before Dante began removing his clothes.
He had about fifteen minutes of monologue and tried severally to strip Seb and sleep with him. He'd get on Sebastian's lap and start kissing him like an omega in heat. It was quite a show. It took a lot of self-control from Sebastian to not give Dante what he wanted.
Seeing Sebastian lost in thoughts, smiling, embarrassment rushed over Dante. What did I do?
"Was it really bad?" Dante asked, his voice barely audible. He was too embarrassed to speak louder.
Sebastian shook his head, "no."
But Sebastian was amused. He did all those and he can't even remember? It kinda pissed him off. Teasing him wouldn't be fun if he doesn't remember anything.
"Come in for breakfast." Sebastian offered.
"Oh no!" Dante quickly protested. "I have to go back home. Gosh, my mum would be worried." Dante suddenly remembered his car. "Oh yeah! My car! Did I leave it at the bar? Oh my gosh my baby! I bought that car with my life savings, I would die if something happened to it. My clothes, did I...
Sebastian watched in silence as Dante had a mental breakdown. He kept walking to and fro, griping his hair anxiously as he rambled on. Dante got oblivious of Sebastian's presence. Sebastian's throaty chuckle snapped him back to reality.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I rambled too much."
"No, it's fine. Don't worry about your...baby. I had one of my men drive it back to your house."
"But how did you get my car key?"
"It was in your pocket."
"Oh."
"If you won't have breakfast, at least clean up. Or do you wanna go back home in..." Sebastian eyes went down to his shirt on Dante, "that" he added. Dante rubbed his legs together unconsciously as Sebastian's lingering stare on his body made him shy.
"Oh, okay."
Sebastian led Dante back to the room. He cleaned up and wore new cloths provided by Seb. Sebastian handed Dante back his phone and offered to drive him home.
"Thank you."
The drive was silent. Dante sat sideways in the front seat, facing the window to avoid Sebastian's eyes. He suddenly remembered his gunshot wound.
He turned to him. "Is your wound now okay?"
"Thanks to you, doctor."
"You're welcome."
Sebastian focused on driving once again. Dante got bored of staring the the view outside. He turned his gaze to Sebastian. He got a good view of his face. Dante got lost in admiring Sebastian's face. From his doe eyes, to his high nose bridge and heart shaped plump lips, it mesmerized Dante. He's never seen a skin so flawless and jaw so chiseled. He felt like pushing his fingers into Sebastian's jet-black hair.
Sebastian was aware of Dante's stare but he pretended to be oblivious of it. As a matter of fact, he was enjoying it.
Sebastian thought the drive was too silent so he brought up a conversation. "Who is Rachel?"
"Huh?"
Sebastian turned to Dante and asked again, "who is she? Rachel. You kept repeating her name in your sleep. You...you even cried."
"Oh"
"So...is she your girlfriend?"
Dante raised his brow. "Girlfriend?"
"Yeah. I mean, why else would you be calling her name in your sleep while crying?"
Dante laughed. "I'm not gonna talk about that."
"Why?"
Dante shook his head. "Nothing."
"Okay. I won't push it."
"Don't you live in Saint Hok?" Dante asked.
"Why are you asking?"
"I mean...your company is there and I met you there. I'm just surprised to see you here, in another town."
"I'm here for business. What about you? Why are you here?"
"I came to visit my mum."
"Hm"
Few minutes later, they arrived at Saint Hok.
"Thank you so much. And I'm sorry if I was a nuisance yesterday. I'll find a way to repay you."
"You wanna repay me?"
Dante nodded. "Yeah. Just tell me what you want."
Sebastian hummed in thoughts. "I'll tell you another time."
"O...ok."
Sebastian ignited the car. "Bye."
"Hm. Drive safely."
Dante went into his house when Sebastian's car was out of sight. He switched on his phone and was welcomed with twenty-five voicemails from his mum. He called her and assured her he was okay.
He placed the shopping bag in his hands on the table. He brought out a white shirt from it. Sebastian told him he could keep the shirt. He didn't want to but since Sebastian insisted, he had no other choice. He sniffed in Sebastian's cologne and let out a satisfactory sigh. His scent is so intoxicating.
In the evening, Dante decided to go for a jog. It just finished raining so Dante thought the atmosphere was perfect for one. He jogged around the street for about twenty-five minutes before he came to a stop at a bus stop. He sat on the provided bench to rest. He was drinking water from a bottle when an expensive looking car approached. There was a puddle of water ahead and as the car sped across it, water splashed all over Dante. He got soaked in dirty rain water.
If the driver hadn't stopped, Dante would have cussed. The driver walked up to Dante and asked for his number.
"My number? Why?" Dante was confused. An apology is all he needs.
"So as to compensate you. Or you can take our business card."
The man shoved the business card into Dante's palm and proceeded back to the car. Dante was pissed.
"Hey!" He snapped. The man turned back to him with an arched brow.
"What? Business card? I don't need to be compensated, I need an apology. A proper apology. You splashed water on me and all you had to do was to shove a dirty card in my palm? Who needs this shit!" Dante threw the card at the man.
"I need to get my boss somewhere really fast and you're delaying so...
"Your boss?" Dante scoffed. "So you're not even the owner of the car? And where is this boss? Doesn't he teach his workers to apologize when they're wrong? Huh? Where is he?!"
"He's here." A man stepped out of the car. Dante pushed the driver out of the way to get a clear look of the boss's face. Dante's breath got stuck in his throat when he realized who it was. Keane Domingo, President of Go cosmetics. Dante didn't expect the boss to be someone like him.
"You said you wanted to speak to the boss and here I am."
Dante frowned. He was pissed off by Keane's mocking smirk. Dante folded his arms, "I deserve an apology."
"Apology? Is 30 000 dollars enough for an apology?"
"That's a stretch. An 'i'm sorry' or a 'i apologize' is enough."
"Why should I say that when it's clearly your fault for staying put when you saw a car approaching a puddle of water?"
"Excuse me? Are you out of your mind? Look at me! I am fucking soaked and all you have to say is that it's my fault? Not your blind driver's fault?"
Keane frowned in frustration. "Little kid, don't...
"Kid?!" Dante exclaimed, "do I look like a freaking child to you?"
"Obviously. What are you? Eighteen?"
"I'm fucking twenty-five!"
"Damn, you are short for a twenty-five years old dude." Keane teased. Dante picked up his water bottle and walked over to Keane furiously.
"What are you...
Dante opened the bottle and emptied it's contents on Keane's head. The driver was too stunned to speak. He couldn't believe it. A civilian wetting his boss on purpose?
Keane's eyes remained closed.
"That's what you get for splashing water on me and being rude about it too!"
"You little brat! Do you know who you just did that to? You can be...
"You better shut that stink hole of yours or I'm gonna help you with it." Dante shut the driver up. Keane's eyes were now opened. His eyes were glued on fuming Dante.
"You should take moral classes, Mr Domingo. You need it." Dante blew Keane a kiss before he cat walked away. Keane was beyond stunned. He had to pinch himself to be sure he wasn't dreaming.
"Are you okay, sir?"
The driver quickly brought out a napkin, cleaning Keane's face with it. Keane was thinking about one thing ; how to get back at Dante.
"So tell me, Dante. What are you going to do?" Dante shrugged. He took a bite out if his hotdog and replied, "you've been asking me this since the beginning of this week. Let it go." Julie scoffed. She grabbed Dante's ear and pulled it. Dante cried out. He kept tapping Julie's arm, begging her to let go of his ear. "Will you answer now?" "Yes yes. Just...let my ear go!" Dante whined. Julie let go of his ear and resumed eating. Dante rubbed his red ears. He glared at Julie, "are you a witch? You almost punctured my ear with your fingernails!" "My fingernails are short. Just tell me already. What will you do after your residency. You're not leaving here, are you?" Dante sighed. He's thought about this a lot. His residency is ending in less than two months. Everyone has been asking him, not just Julie. They really want him to remain in the hospital. "I don't know. I'll probably go for fellowship. Or I'll further my education." "So in short, you aren't staying here? Can't you do y
"Um...what brought you guys here?" Dante has been asking the two men this question for the last ten minutes. He invited them in, offered them tea but they've refused to talk. They've been glaring daggers at each other since they got in. Not even the world's sharpest knife can cut through the thick tension in the air right now. "How do you know Dante?" Sebastian asked Keane. "Non of your business. How do you know him?" Dante is getting frustrated. He pulled out a chair and sat beside Sebastian. "Um...we won't make any progress here if you don't tell me what you guys want and..." He turned to Keane with a glare, "you! How do you know my house?" Keane shrugged, "I have my ways, darling." Dante grimaced. "Eww, don't call me that." He turned to Sebastian. "What about you? Did...did I forget something at your place?" Keane's jaw dropped in surprise. He was astounded by Dante's sudden change of tone. When Dante spoke to him, he sounded like a tiger ready to pounce on its prey but spea
"It's Sunday and I have to go to church. I can't believe you're inviting me to a beach party early Sunday morning, Henry." "Dude, can't you forfeit this one, hm? Hot girls are gonna be there. And hot guys too." "I shalt not be tempted by the devil on a holy day, thank you." "But... Dante hanged up before Henry could say anything else. He placed his phone and his bible in his bag. He looked around to be sure he wasn't forgetting anything. He smiled in satisfaction as he headed to the door. Mrs Yolando is a devoted christian and she brought up her children to be one. Though Dante doesn't consider himself devoted, he tries to make sure he doesn't miss church on Sundays. It's just like an habit of his. He was about opening the door when the doorbell rang. He wondered who it could be at this hour. He opened the door and was greeted with Dimitri's loud wail. Dante was beyond shocked, he wasn't expecting him at all. "Dimitri? What... "Best friend, I'm sad!" He wailed louder, hurlin
They had spent about half and hour traveling in complete silence. Dante faced the window throughout the drive. He found watching the trees and sky peaceful. The driver, who later introduced himself as John, turned on the stereo to clear off the boredom in the air.Despite that, it was the longest thirty minutes of Dante's life. He had no idea where he was being taken to whatever was waiting for him there. About twenty minutes later, the car got to a stop. Dante looked outside the window and was speechless. They were stopped before a tall gold gate. The type of gate you'd find in modern royal films. Where are we? He wondered. Some moments later, the large gate opened for them to go in. A long tiled road came into view. It was such a beautiful setting. At each side of the road, beautiful flowers and tress were planted. They were still in Saint Hok but Dante felt like he entered another world entirely. They passed through a vineyard and an orchard. The apples on the apple fruits looked
"Where were you? I looked everywhere for you." "I stepped out for a bit." Looking at Sebastian's eyes, Dante wondered if he was worried or scolding him. He never understands what he's thinking. Sebastian gaze went to Keane, who is behind Dante. "Stay away from Dante. I don't want to see you around him." Sebastian said sternly to Keane but Keane didn't look an ounce bothered."You control your employees now, hm? You don't get to tell me who I stay with or away from. Besides, the one who should be doing the staying away should be you, don't you think?" Sebastian frowned. He turned to Dante, "let's go." "Huh? But...Sebastian didn't give Dante a chance to protest. He took him by his hand and pulled him away. He stopped when they got further away from Keane. Dante snatched his hands from Sebastian's grip. This action made Sebastian even angrier."Stay away from Keane!" Dante frowned. He folded his arms and put up a serious face, "you don't tell me who to relate with or not. Sure, he
"I'm simply going to work to check out what's going on. I'll come back later in afternoon then we go somewhere together. You stay at home or do you wanna go somewhere?" "Nah, I'm not using one of my visiting days now." That wasn't what I meant, Sebastian thought. He nodded and bid Dante goodbye. Dante watched as Sebastian's car left the compound. The moment he left, he dashed out of his room. He almost bumped into one bodyguard on his way. "Oh...I'm sorry." Dante apologized. The bodyguard helped him stand well on his feet. He's been hearing from his colleagues that the new doctor is cute and now that he's seeing Dante's face, he can tell that cute is an understatement. "It's fine. Are you on your way somewhere? Out? I can drive you, if you don't mind." "No, don't worry yourself" Dante politely turned him down. "I was just on my way to find something doing. I'm quite less busy." "Really? Then follow me." "Where?" "You'll see." Dante narrowed his eyes. There was somethi
Dante raised his brow in question, "You're gonna teach me?" Sebastian nodded. "Yeah." Dante squinted his eyes, he scrutinized Sebastian from his head to toe. "Teach me, huh? How good are you? Are you better than Xander and Timothy?" Sebastian's men found it unbelievable. For the first time, a person is doubting their boss's ability. That hurt their pride as his men. "Mr Yolando, our boss..." One guy tried to caution but Sebastian cut him off. "It's fine. Let's show him, shall we? Xander, to the ring." Xander's heart skipped a beat. There is no way on earth he's sparing with Sebastian. "No no. I'm good. Timothy is better than I am." He glanced at Timothy, who was glaring at him, "Isn't that right, Timothy?" "I'd love to but my throat hurts, so..." Dante snickered, "you fight with your fists and legs, not with your oesophagus, Timothy. Are you that scared?" He turned to Sebastian, "you're that good, huh?" "More than that." Fred said. "I won't believe that until I see
"How did it go? Is boss still angry?"Questions were thrown at the guys as they walked into the training room. The men were anxious to know the mood of their boss."Well...we don't know." Fred answered, taking a seat beside Xander."You don't know?" Timothy asked."You see..." Leo began to explain, "Dante kinda made things worse...or maybe we thought that but surprisingly, boss invited him in."The men looked at one another, astounded. "Boss invited him in? As in...boss invited Dante into his room . The same room he forbids everyone from entering. Even his family needs permission to enter but Dante entered freely? Are you sure of what you're saying?" Xander asked, unable to believe Leo's tale."You think I'm joking? Ask Fred or Brendan. They were there too you know.""Leo is right." Fred confirmed, "That happened. Even after Dante threw words at boss, he didn't get angry. He invited him in instead but..."But?""Something seemed weird." Brendan chipped in. "We couldn't hear anything
