Madison’s POV

I cautiously opened my eyes, allowing the soothing light of the hospital room to become acclimated to my eyes. While I was feeling disoriented, it took me a while to completely understand where I was. When I got more conscious, I tilted my head to the side and was shocked to see Tyler seated in a chair next to my bed. His normally well-groomed look was replaced by hair that was a jumble and eyes that looked fatigued. My heart pounded quicker.

"Tyler?" I whispered, and my voice was weak from all I had gone through.

“Did he really stay by my side throughout this time?” I asked myself while looking at his face. He looked really dishelved and he didn't shave at all.

Tyler looked up, and his eyes met mine. His face revealed a mix of relief and satisfaction. He couldn't control the emotions that surged within him and broke into a mix of tears and laughter.

"Madison!" he shouted, his voice choked with anguish. "You're awake!"
