She's Alive

Waking up, he looked at the lady standing before him. He looked around to recall his environment.

"What did you say?" He asked the lady again.

"It's time for the operation, you may leave the ward," She repeated.

He got up, looked at the woman on the bed and walked to the door.

"Don't let her die, please," He said to Fern before walking out of the room.

Smiling, Fern patted his shoulder.

Giselle was moved from a normal ward to a theatre room.

Greg watched them shut the door, he smiled and walked away from the hospital to be back in a few hours.

In hours, he returned to see Giselle's oxygen pipe removed.

"What happened?" He asked Fern.

"Congrats, man. Your woman is strong," Fern said, patting him.

"Is… she a..live?" He asked, running to the bed where she was laid.

"Shhhh!" Fern cautioned, "she's resting."

Smiling with tears in his eyes, he ran back to the doctor, hugging him, "thank you!" He almost screamed, gripping the doctor.
