Chapter 53 Cup Noodles
Now that we have a destination in mind, it has become long and smooth sailing for us. Well, all except for me. I have this growing storm of anxiety deep in the pit of my stomach the closer that we got to the Mariana Trench.
It was bad enough that Trei mentioned the sea monsters lurking in the depths of the ocean, but then he suggested that I should go and tame the sea king - as in, the leader of the sea monsters in the area.
I was out and swimming in the water while the ship was running on autopilot. I sat on the roof of the submarine while practicing my powers by locating some strong predators. Of course, it wasn’t much of a training because I wasn’t trying to command or control them at the moment. But having to use my powers before we reach our destination somehow gives me comfort and a bit of a distraction from what was about to come.
