Tides of Grace

Marrine Child showed up on the steps of a tiny church, wrapped in blankets and left out in a raging storm. The nuns and Father Thompson took her in, raising her in the quiet seaside town of Port Haven. On the surface, she seemed like any other orphan—just a bit out of place, maybe. But there was more to Marrine. Her father was the King of the Deep, a powerful sea ruler set on taking her back, no matter the cost. She grew up under the watchful eyes of the church, soaking in the faith and warmth of her caretakers. As she got older, Marrine’s beauty stood out—though not nearly as much as her bond with Zeke Thompson, the priest’s son. The two of them grew up together, turning a childhood friendship into a fierce, unstoppable love. Port Haven, always small-minded, whispered behind their backs. The truth Marrine hid could wreck them both. Then Damien Rivers—jealous, bitter, always watching—unveiled Marrine’s secret to the whole town. Just like that, the people she once called neighbors turned against her. Zeke didn’t hesitate; they ran. They found a secret island, tucked away and forgotten, somewhere they could finally breathe. But safety was an illusion. The King of the Deep still wanted his daughter, and this time, he didn’t come alone. Everything came to a head in one desperate battle. Marrine stood at a crossroads: give in to her marine blood and lose Zeke, or turn her back on everything she was and risk it all. Just when hope seemed gone, an angel appeared with the impossible—way forward, if Marrine’s faith and Zeke’s love could withstand the final test. It turns into a sweeping story about belief, sacrifice, and a love that even death can’t destroy.
