Noella’s POV

Enrick's eyes suddenly turned serious as he looked at me. "Do you hate me so much that you want this contract to end immediately?" he asked without warning.

That question made me stammer. I didn't know what to answer. "No, it's not like that," I replied, trying to find the right words to explain what I meant.

"Really? Then, we'll be in this relationship for a long time," he said in a calm but firm voice.

I paused, processing his words. What did he mean? Did he want a more serious relationship or was he just extending the contract for his own sake? The thought raged in my mind, leaving me confused and unsure of what to do.

Before I could ask further questions, Enrick had already extended his hand with a charming smile. "Come on, let's go back to the party room. I think I've had enough here."

I took her hand, feeling the warmth of her grip. We went back inside with great elegance, and he was not at all awkward when introducing me as his future wife.
