The CEO obsession

My ex-husband's hands were tightly wrapped around his mistress as they  walked side by side while talking with most of the board members .

Tristan wore a big smile  on his face as he introduced her to them, his gestures made it visible that he was talking about her .

Solane  couldn’t remember the last time  she had ever seen him smile this much , she would say that it was 7 years ago before he married her .

After their marriage , he turned into something she could never understand.

Tristan was the man for her , so she thought he was sweet, loving, and most importantly understating , he made the perfect husband and so when he threw her the question, she accepted .

If only she knew the ordeal she was  about to go  through in his hands , she would never have married him. Just two months into their marriage he changed .

From staying up late at night ,to cheating on her with different women, but Lelia was constant , she was the woman that finally broke their home .

I  couldn’t take the embarrassment anyone 

Everyone knew he was cheating on me  as they have been seen several times. 

I signed  the divorce papers but since we both built this company , I was stuck with this bastard ex husband who had humiliated me and made my life hell for the last 7 years .

It was our company gala , we celebrated each year and this year , I didn’t hesitate to continue .

Many thought that I wouldn’t be here , maybe the divorce was just two days ago and I am supposed to be in pain.

The sharp sound of the glass cup interrupted my thoughts. I raised my head up, just for me to see Tristan  walking hand in hand with Lelia to the podium.

Like every other  mistress , Lelia wore a  blood red slick gown , matched with her lips and her blonde hair style perfectly .

The gown she wore showed her figure and the sweet smile she held on her face made me feel disgusted .

“ I just wanted everyone to  know that Lelia is my new girlfriend and so she will be working with me and also have a share in the company,you all regard her the respect  you give to my wife“

Tristan's loud voice struck me like a cord , I could literally feel my heart beating faster and the tears wanting to build.

His words sent chills and  right there , I could feel all their judging gaze on me , most weren’t of pity but of mockery .

I wasn’t going to cry , the press were here and crying over my ex husband was the last thing I  was going to do.

I knew he was doing this just to hurt me and I wasn’t to give him that satisfaction .

I raised up my head elegantly  without any trace of emotions in my face .

The onlookers suddenly clapped while the press took photos of them .

Slipping away from the crowd , I walked straight to the bar , I needed something to get everything off my chest .

Tristian couldn’t wait, I gave him everything .

7 years of my life , my youthful days , just for him to make a mockery of me just two days after our divorce , he was showing his mistress all over the world , that’s what I get for being a faithful wife .

I glummed down the first drink , just enough for me to forget about all the stupid vows  I made to him at the altar and that was when I heard that  voice, I didn’t want to hear .

Lelia 

My grip on the cup tightened. All that I wanted was to hit the smug  look off her face right now  but I poured it down without paying her another attention .

“Showing your disgusting face here , like you haven’t been a housewife for  seven years, what can you possibly do here?”

Her words stung straight into my heart and I turned to look at the bitch , Lelia stood close to me and her clone  filled my nostrils .

“ Why don’t you sell your shares and get the hell out of this company , you think you still matter, if you weren’t that dumb, Tristian wouldn’t have dumped your sorry ass”Lelia continued .

I didn’t react to her words , but instead I just smiled , holding it all together .

“ I built this empire with Tristan and I will be damned if I let go just because of some fool and you. You have been the woman in the shadows all these years. Do you  really think  that being the real one is going to make a difference ?

“Trust me, he will  get bored of you like he did with me.The only difference is, I left  with my name intact.You are just a shadow wearing a stolen light”.

Lelia face twitched , her smile  cracked for a second , but before she could respond , a hand slowly  slides  onto her back

He pecks her cheeks again in a sweet  way , I turned away without giving him the attention that he wanted .

I have given  him my youth , my life and everything but tonight I give him nothing.

But he wasn’t done.

“You  didn’t have to show your disgusting face here  solange , i get sick when i see you” his  voice came out filled with disgust and mockery .

I felt my heart bleed , I still couldn’t believe that this was a man that I had loved my whole life that took so much joy in taunting  me in public and in front of his mistress.

 Ignoring  his words , I stood up, but he wasn’t done. “ Maybe when you sell your shares , I don’t have to see your stupid face again”.

Without giving him a reply , I moved away from him , but before I could get any further someone grabbed my hands and when I turned , it was her .

What else did she want , I had been humiliated enough .

Maybe next time , you could dress  more pleasant. Before I could get what was happening , she slowly poured the wine she  was holding onto my dress   in a way that everyone could see us .

I could literally hear  the crowd  gasp .

As I stood there I watched most of  them take photos of me .

“You can take as much as you want, “ I said out loudly, ignoring the looks as I walked away from the party and straight  to my car .

I had been humiliated again by my ex husband mistreated and this was it.

 I would pay them back in their own coin.
