"Why would I do that?" he asked and began walking away with his hands buried in his pockets. The music was playing that made it hard for Lily to speak clearly with him.

"You're the one who told me that I can ask for your help!" she exclaimed, trying to be heard beyond the music. Everyone has their own worlds. Drinking, smoking, flirting, and dancing. So, this is what they call a bar. But then, all the people she can see walks and moves with authority and power, just like the man she's with.

"Did I?" he asked and chucked. He is obviously taking her as a joke.

"I am not joking here, Frederick." Lily said coldly, already upset.

That made Frederick stop from walking. In the middle of the crowd, Frederick looked back at her and finally faced her again with the thinnest deceiving smile on his lips.
