Ogling

I walked into the Lexington's mansion, pushing Killian in with me.

His eyes remained straight ahead as he stared at nothing.

“Are you sure it's alright for me to stay here till our wedding?” I asked him for what seemed to be the fifth time since we left.

I didn't really know of his position here, so I wanted to know what I was walking into. if a family would let their child go broke just because he is blind and became a cripple, what else would they do to him?

“It's not too late for you to return,” he said coldly and I shook my head.

I was here already, so there was no use to be asking questions.

I couldn't help but be curious about the rest of his family members.

I had just seen Mr. Lexington and that was it. Wasn't his mom home?

“Where do you think you are going?” A stern voice asked and I stopped in my tracks.

Mr. Lexington stared at us coldly, his aura different from the first time we met.

“I'm going to my room, what does it look like? Father.” Killian spat out the word ‘father’ and if I didn't notice how weird things were before, I did now.

“I listened to your brother to get you a wife just to take care of you since you are clearly unable to do so yourself. And you suddenly decide to bring her home?” Mr. Lexington asked, completely ignoring my presence.

“And I was against the idea of getting a wife but I wasn't given a choice, was I?” Killian asked and I instantly understood his lack of care towards the fact that his bride got changed.

He never wanted to get married.

Killian pushed his wheelchair forward, wheeling himself towards the staircase.

He stopped at the bottom of the staircase, turning his head in my direction.

“Are you coming?” He asked me and I instantly went to him, keeping my head bowed while avoiding Mr. Lexington.

“The driver usually helped me go to my room, but since you are here, you'd be helping me,” Killian said to me and I looked at him baffled.

I was supposed to help a grown man who seemed to be twice my body weight to go up the staircase.

I looked between Killian and the staircase and I wondered if it wasn't too late to leave.

“Well? What are you waiting for?” Killian asked sharply, his cold voice snapping me back to reality.

Taking a deep breath, I lifted Killian out of the wheelchair, supporting his body with mine.

With slow but steady steps, I was able to take Killian to his room without falling.

I had stumbled a few times but luckily I prevented myself from falling.

Gently, I let Killian down on the bed and he immediately sat.

My entire body ached and I almost cried out. Is this what I'm supposed to go through for the rest of my life?

I shuddered as I thought about it but didn't voice out my thoughts.

“What are you waiting for? Go and get the wheelchair,” Killian barked once more and I turned to glare at him.

It was a good thing that he wasn't able to see me making faces at him right now.

When I opened the door, the wheelchair was already placed on the doorstep but I didn't see anyone around.

“Am I expected to carry you up and down the staircase all the time?” I asked him as I pushed the wheelchair in. My shoulders were sore from carrying him and they hurt.

“You could have used the elevator if it was going to be a problem for you,’’ Killian said nonchalantly and my jaw dropped.

“There is an elevator? Why didn't you tell me?” I whined as I glared at him like I had been wronged.

Killian only snorted before falling back on the bed.

His hands immediately went to his buttons and he started to unbutton them. I turn around when I see a flash of skin, my skin flushing.

“Wha-what are you doing?” I stuttered.

“Undressing, what does it look like? And shouldn't you be going to school now? You're late already!” Killian's reminder that I had school today made me gasp and I instantly rushed into the bathroom.

Taking a clean pair of clothes and a towel, I showered quickly and was just about to head out

“Where are you going?” He barked out and I stopped mid-track

I felt like Killian was edging me on purpose, and I turned to look at him.

“If you go to school now, who is supposed to help me shower and dress?” He asked and my cheeks heated up.

He couldn't be serious, could he? How could he expect me to undress him? Wouldn't I need to see him naked?

Thinking about this, my cheeks reddened the more.

I raised my eyes and was met with the sight of his hard chiseled chest.

Killian has been crippled for a while now, so how could his body still look this good?

“Forget about bathing me, you might rape me with the way you are staring at me right now,” Killian waved me away with his hand and I instantly felt embarrassed.

I wished the ground would open up and swallow me to prevent me from facing this embarrassment.

I couldn't even think of a comeback because he had caught me ogling him.

Wait, all train of thoughts halted in their tracks.

He's supposed to be blind, isn't he?

"How did you know I was staring?" I asked him, baffled.

"I don't need eyes to feel the intensity of your stare," his reply came immediately.

Cursing furiously at him, I grabbed my school bag and ran out.

The driver who had dropped us off earlier offered to take me to school and I couldn't even deny it.

If I even a minute later than this, I would be in trouble.

Running into the School gates, I ran up the staircase to my lecture room.

The moment I pushed the door open, everyone seemed to stare at me while whispering.

They all had condescending looks on their faces and I tried to ignore it as I walked forward.

The moment I sat down, Eileen rushed to me.

I punch the bridge of my nose when I see her, expecting some sort of drama.

“Sister, are you really going to stay with that man? Mom and Dad said they are sorry and wish for you to come back” She said.

“I'm staying with him, alright? I'm not even planning on coming back anytime soon. So stay away,” I waved her away.

Her lips pulled into a smile and she immediately replaced it with a sad look.

“Shouldn't you be ashamed? You're already living with a man you're not married to,” came a voice from behind me
