"I am scared Matt. Please don't leave me" she whispered, feeling lonely and vulnerable.

Matteo's eyes became soft. He unfastened her seat belt and pulled her into his lap. This is not the same Hera he came to know and adore. He likes her quirkiness and mischief. Staying with her father destroyed her self-confidence and she became fearful. Or her old fear might have returned. The same fear as when she used to live with her father during her childhood. Whatever might be the case, Matteo is determined to change this.

He lifted her chin so that she is looking into his eyes. He wants her to see that he really meant what he said.

"Baby girl, I am not going anywhere. I will stay with you for as long as you need me. No matter where you are, I will make sure that your father would never trouble you again. I promise" he vowed.
