“I slept with Mark Ronaldo!”

That was the thought I woke up with, and as much as I tried to shake it off my mind, I couldn’t. It was lodged there, and it made me deeply shy.

I kept the gift Mark got for me on the bed and we proceeded to have breakfast. Whatever he had to say, I wanted to eat first before hearing it.

First of all, getting into the shower, I was reminded that today was the day we would hear from Mr. Gregory, and that was enough to make me stop reminiscing on the wave of passion that Mark and I had drowned in last night.

What if he wasn’t impressed about the presentation even though Mark aced it? I could not tell, and neither could Mark, but the last thing I wanted was to return to Paris with failure.

I couldn’t do that to my dad.

“What are you thinking about?” Mark asked me worriedly as we waited for Alora to bring out breakfast from the kitchen.

“Nothing,” I lied, shrugging.
